Ive got a rear disc setup that was supposed to go onto my nephews 316 but its not going to happen now. I think its all there (maybe missing the hand brake line) but the rest is all good. If anyone is interested I can dig it all out and have a look/take photos. Open to offers (around $150) and Id rather not ship it if I can help it. Its just taking up space and I need some moola to wrap the Alpinas in rubber

JP, How are the mudflaps can I have some pics please mate? How much do you want for them ? Only need the rears unless they are all mint.
-
I think this gives it away ;-) You guys need to remember that an e39 has a different center bore to all other BMW's so you cant just bolt on whatever BMW wheel you find.

I wouldve thought the kit would be harder to get hold of the way people go on about them, but in the last 12 months Ive known about 3 full kits that have been available. Ive not seen any full leather interiors around at all, but then Ive got one of those already and havent been looking for them !

Ive seen a couple of sets up close and I couldnt tell any difference other than the font which is markedly different. It is after the font that will catch you out, because thats being 'read' by a camera. The plates themselves will be hard to spot because they look so similar.

Celis is something to do with clear, defo not the angel eyes. Depo is a decent brand on ebay (not a seller) and the eurolights bloke on TM is good. Have you checked out the dealers just in case ?
-
Well the first ones are using LED's and the second ones are just clear lenses that have been smoked. Well thats what I see on a quick look anyway. Ive always though the Celis was just the 'crystal' look of the clear lenses. Eurolights is a decent seller, a mate bought some angel eye fronts but ordered the wrong ones and broke on the the tabs when trying to put them in. The guy took them back no problem and sourced the correct ones for him.

Jochen do you have the latest camera coordinates ? A mate of mine has a gps but has only got an old coordinate map off the Tricky Dicky website of all places. -
Were those LED or just Celis. If you just want the Celis try the dealers you might be pleasantly surprised, thats where I got mine for the e38. Worked out the same price as shipping them from either the UK, Germany or the States.

So when can we expect to see it parked on Ian's driveway with you ripping bits out of it

It helps if your earning UK pounds in the first place ! But if your using NZD I reckon you could get one for cheaper than an NZ dealer but it wouldnt be massively cheaper. A rough estimate would be that you could get one for between 180-200k. If you were prepared to import a used one from Japan you could save a fortune ! [edit] What I really meant about the cost was that a new one of these would be just a little more than a years salary for me in the UK. In NZ it would take me nearly four years to pay for it. So in terms of salary its four times more expensive here
-
And the rest !!! Base M5 is currently 225k, M6 wheels....add 5k, full leather....another 20k. Goes to show just how ridiculously expensive they are here.

Ive logged in this morning to find the fonts on the main screen are all so tiny its almost unreadble ! Anyone else have this problem or am I just getting old ?

Something tells me that either my Dutch wife or South African friend is going to come in handy ;D [edit] Thank god I worked it out before I asked either of them !

Well my name is Martyn, and since Ive had to go through my entire life telling people to spell it with a 'Y' and not an 'I' I decided a long time ago that my username would have two 'Y's and so Ive always used martyyn. But then everyone thought my name was Martyyn  So when we got to chose our display names I thought Id give Hong Kong Phooey a bash but now Im as confused as everyone else as to who people are these days !

Im on e30zone.net, e38.org, bmw7resourse.co.uk, the7seriesregister.co.uk and thealpinaregister.com (which has been incredibly informative). To pick up on Bravo's point about size Ive noticed that as BS has grown weve got more and more noobs asking the same old questions about tyres, shocks, offsets and turbo's and less and less of the 'regulars' updating us on their projects. The noobs are what makes the world go round and are always welcome of course, but does this mean that all the regulars have finished their particular projects ?

The bidding small print has caught you out Andy. If you put an autobid on that is less than the reserve it puts your full bid in regardless. If your autobid is greater than the reserve then it puts in the reserve as your first bid and keeps whats left over to carry on as you would expect an autobid to, increment each time someone adds another bid. Obviously from a buyers point of view its a complete joke but for a seller its fantastic. I wont use an autobid anymore because its just too risky which defeats the purpose. You can always ask to have the bid removed.
