  2. Have a new set of e30/RX7 Brackets and Discs machined for a budget orientated person wanting a 4-Pot brake conversion at the lowest price.

The brackets have been made locally and discs bought in and machined locally.

Have had the RX7 4-pot conversion done successfully on a race car and a road car for a fraction of the of the cost of importing or buying the expensive ones made available on the NZ market

Note: the disc in the pics is an old used one for display purposes only, boxes were in pics were re-sealed after machining

Have a complete e30/RX7 Kit-set on here and Trade Me at the moment too.

$250 plus postage. Pick-up would be near Feilding. PM or Txt 0204200254 if interested

I've read that they work with a fairly open 15" rim.
I know they can fit under TRM C1 15x8 ET20 wheels with a small amount of metal removed from the bump on the outside face of the caliper.

I can't readily find the 'UTube' clip of an e30/RX7 demo of before and after, showing improvement of the change. Wanted to see if tyres had been changed etc as the tyre rubber is very instrumental in the stopping/slowing distance too.

They fit behind some 15” rims, weaves are very tight to the back of the spokes and really need a spacer.

On one e30, I had, came with ET 30(?) weaves from another make(?} worked ok, from memory it didn't have the heat dissapation 'fins', they had probably been 'shaved' as there were no 'Mazda' either.

A bit of prospective buyer beware and research needed.

  5. Yeah, started off buying the bits for one, ended up with the bits & pieces for more than one!

This is for one kit but have duplicates of most of the parts seen or mentioned (I only have one other RX7 caliper pair which could be made into a kit too, if someone is interested.)

Have quite a few new machined discs, adaptor plates etc just ask. (I need to do an inventory I expect.)

The pics show very much what you will get.

The calipers have had new seals, new bolts, etc, the discs have been machined to fit the BMW e30 made and rebuilt by Engineers.

Adaptors for brake lines and adaptor plates for the e30/RX7caliper I have had done locally. I have successfully used all the parts mentioned on two of my  e30's- can't see them in pic but use of nordic washers is made for a fast brake pad change. The sample disc in pic is an old used one, showing surface rust, and the two new discs are in the resealed packaging which would come with the kit.

Yeah, sold a couple of the e30's I had planned putting these kits into and have spare discs as they have been getting scarce to find and now with GST and shipping

These are pretty expensive now to bring in. If there is anything I have missed happy for any replies.

All I have done then is fit them to the two cars I have had done which was very much at the basic skill level which is one above the idiot level.

Plenty of You Tube and e30sites to research the why and how. I found getting the RX7 calipers to be the most expensive part of the kit.

Happy to sell off most of the bits needed (except for supplying the calipers and seal kits).

On this site $650 plus shipping for the complete e30/RX7 Kit. For the bits with-out RX7 calipers & seals  $300 plus shipping.

  6. 4x 5 stud rims, the original manufactured item for BMW e30 M3.

All will come with centre caps

    7in X 15in Et20

Only ever used for display on a showroom car, not driven on the road.

Only the patina of being in storage for a time, otherwise near as new.

Been asked why am I selling, originally were bought to go on our '02 project car which has been converted to five studs now for bigger brakes. Managed to find some original Alpinas though which were quite a bit more than these are on here.

    $1500

For what its worth, I have a M44 Red 318Ti I bought from the forum as a daily and side project earlier in the year, was nice for a while but a few months later it hit a unsuspecting speed bump at 10km and since then been misfiring, scanning codes brought out bad knock sensor and a bad cam sensor which I replaced, checked everything the chain tensioner, and timing, abs sensors, vac leaks, clogged ccv and all I could. Still misfires if going above 2500 rpm or if climbing a hill, otherwise drives well. height adaptation error (121 or something iirc) oh well..?

    Edit: Fix?

Turns out I fixed my issue, was all due to the ABS/ASC, Easy fix is basically taking out the ABS electric module and resolder some broken connections, why at certain RPM's the ASC retards the timing on the engine and cuts power and the unit is often without codes, I only found my fix when I had the ABS/ASC light on after 3 months of this ongoing it finally blew a fuse that lead me the right direction, Car runs brilliantly now! Here is where I wrote in detail -  http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/62531-318ti-abs-issue-rough-running/

Thanks for that. Yeah, Link software suggested plug gap issue. Settled on a reset to 35. now 1500-7000 rpm produces a nice linear curve now without any misfire. All is good now.

Thanks to all for the posts good folk

'Rivers know this,' we all get there in the end.

$50 scanning it would have likely saved you a bunch of money on plugs and coils.

No scan plug to use as such. Wiring through Link (for ITBs) so will have that soft-ware to plug into a computer etc though which I don't have. Figuring around something 'mechanical' has gone wrong'? Had an M42 once that was 'firing off all over the place', eventually was diagnosed  woodruffe key on the front crank had shorn off. Yeah, another dyno session/diagnosis session next week hopeful will sort it?
