That was the 530, havent changed it to the 540, imola red fantastic colour ass to keep shiny

We would occasionaly run 91 but that was only when there was a que for 98, but the 530 ran crap loads better on 98.....and for that matter so does the 540, its bugger all more expensive for 98. We had our 39 530i sport for about 4 years (nz new) only problems we had we the odd sensor and the usual quality bmw plastic radiator, i used it to tow the race cars, loved it, gearbox was really good, the step tronic is a different way around to the V8, weird, did find the tourings were a bit bumpy in the rear...not sure if anyone else noticed that.the 3.0 is great but the 4.4 is so much smoother and not that much more to run...

Maybe a Question for Jochen or Grant (hotwire), i have/had mounted up the top of the front window a BMW part with part number 65.90-8 385 448 Beacon Antenna, was next to the rain sensor, any ideal what it would be for, have dissconnected it , kept comming off in the heat since i had a new windscreen fitted, originally thought it was for tolls, but maybe someone else here has one on their car?, its a rectangle shape, will post a pic if needed

In need of 4 x wheel spacers for the race car, bolt on type, around 25-30mm anyone know where to get these asap???

You will find the Rennsport has already started down there, my old e30 race car is apart of it, its worked well for the guys down there, it just gets all the German race cars out on the track to make up the numbers. I think people have a veiw of the BMWCC being full of oldies etc but it is far from it, you get all types of members wanting to be part of the club for verious reasons, cheap parts, racing, socialising BMWCC member only events and special deals for tours around Alpina etc, but no matter what they all still have the same passion as everyone else on here! so anyone else want to join!!!

The price is pretty good, considering the BMW CC NZ has been around for alot longer than people think... 27 years and still counting ,...if you want to join the american muscle car club its $70, HSV $80, Mustang club $60 or if you are really feeling the pinch of the recession....join Fiat....$35 or just splash out with the Ferrari Club $146.60.......need i say more??

Nz new didnt come with tv/sat nav untill 02/03, where bmw where the first to offer it, but in Jap land it was already on offer, thats why you see early e39's with it from Japan not a question of spec levels, and the (halo lights /face lift)didnt come on NZ models till mid to late 01 but were in 00 models from japan. you will also find the wing mirrors are slightly different , the grill and the front fog lamps Or just get a V8 with half the amount of doors

It should have four front and four rear, mine do. if you look on the rear it only looks like it has the sensors on the painted part, shold have it on the black corner strips....hard to tell tho. Also the pic that you have there, the senor that you can see on the left is not in the right place, it should be on the very right of the strip, closest to the number plate and one more on the very lft corner of the strip/car, so that tells me it has had a bump and the cust whipped on a plain bumber and put the sensor where they thought it must go rather than getting the correct parts

you will find that it will be nz new, full size number plate holders on bootlid but appers as hotwire said may have had a smack as it is missing pdc on the front and missing the corners sensors on the rear, pdc is not common for jap, also std nz new model phone antenna on rear window for bmw phone, also nz model key, which is key memory...jap and singapore cars usually have the big inferred remote keys like the e46/e38, but a pretty great price, btw ours nz new has ece under the speedo

Yeah something like that was dadgy as....think it had a super low reserve, i rung trade me and had it removed, should have really rung them up to see if i could view it or something and see what they would have said

Thats nothing, some clown try was trying to sell my e38 in the sth island, was just by pure luck i saw it when i was checking what others were selling for!....even had my plate nuber on it and all!....they copyied a couple of the pics from my listing and then added some other e38 interior pics...checky buggers

need a left hand (passenger side) rubber moulding that goes on the gaurd under the indicator....black with out the chrome
