  1. Nope car needs to be coded for FM. Around $350ish for NZ FM and nav is $1500 but includes the FM. Auto Gravity in Dominion Rd. Need to get it done on my Touring.
  2. Do know what he upgraded to...should be here soon...more grunt and more cylinders
  3. Definitely factory, seen a few of them with it, was in really good condition just didnt have that worn in look
  4. It just didnt have the same feel or texture to it, was odd
  5. Had a look a an E60 with Half leather and cloth seats, the leather looked and felt cheap as s**t, question is is it proper leather like you would get in e39 e53 etc or is it a bonded cheap leather???

    E24 1984 635CSi

Your talking about a M635csi....different kettle of fish
  7. Hood switch...mine did the same, annoying for my neighbour's because I coded the high beams to flash as well as the indicators when it sounds
  8. Nice work with the paint!! i coded mine to have tv in motion too...its ok while driving but not fantastic, stoped the cold check for number plate lights and also activated daytime running lights...man there is a lot you can turn on and off (I used bmw scanner 1.4.0)
  9. I didnt get a chance to take many pics, was too distracted with the stop watch, and didnt have a big zoom lens
  10. Thanks to those of you that come out for the day, hope you had fun
  11. We had a nz new e39 530i sport and round town would be high 12's low 13's but thats driving from Westmere to Parnell to my wifes office, on a trip high 8's. our e39 540i sport (replaced the 530) would be around 15l/100 around town and about 10 or 11 on a trip but the X5 (replaced the 540) is 18.1 around town and as low as 11 on a trip but thats a 6 speed.....seems i have a habit of replacing cars with ones that are less fuel efficient...sweet I dont think your car is too far off, as some one else has already mentioned its a heavy car despite having all alloy stuff under it
  12. Have you tried the black colour turttle wax?.. i use it on the X5 with a little buffer from super cheap, comes up super shiney, i really recomend it, just dont get it on the plastic bumper mouldings. our cars live out side too. i dont touch cutting compound ...to easy to ruin the paint if you dont know what your doing
  13. Was heading home yesterday and saw the guy there working on your car..bonnet was up and the dent looked big! Did a lion jump on it?
  14. That is one tall gear lever, i have the ZHP gear lever in the clubsport (standard) really nice to use P.S just noticed your climate control buttons, never seen that layout before
  15. I used it in my old 2002 540 sport and in 2001 530 sport never had any problems what so ever
  16. Spot on, i scanned the car and it had a faulty hood switch, unplugged it job done
  17. So did I till you mentioned it! Ever see that Top Gear episode where they had the 3 E30 cabs and had them "gone over by scientists " who found all sorts of 'Yuk stuff"...this comes to mind
  18. So the past 3 nights the factory alarm in the e46 has been sounding in the middle of the night, i wish it was because some one has broken into it but noooo. The car never gets used often, maybe once every 2-3 weeks, but i used it friday sat and sunday and since then its had a spaz. Every time it goes off i unlock the car and wait for the doors to re-lock after 2 min so it doesn't turn on & set the alarm, pain in the ass. Last night I disabled the interior movement sensor with the key and that didn't work, any idea what it could be?..bad battery, tilt sensor? good alarm bad car?
  19. Auto lights are only on late models, 02 onward for the e39 (Fairly sure), the on off on the mirror is to turn on and off the auto dimming, had it on a previous car dont remember which one though you can normally see the green tint at night if you turn on the interior lights
