  1. haven't done the bushings yet. I'll do it once I have more $$ and time. Tires are very good tho.
  2. I got the tires installed today. $1359 @ Firestone Direct. First impressions. Fantastic. More direct. I've been taking roundabouts over and over again just to feel the steering come alive. Waiting for the initial layer to wear off first and then I'll push it on a weekend. So far so good
  3. Yep, tires arrived today. I'll get them installed probably this saturday. Let it bed in first and then take it for a proper hoon around the foggy Waikato
  4. shocks are newish. about 20K kms old. Sway bar bushes are about 12K kms old. will replace the outer control arm bushes then
  5. My Toyo's CT01 have a wear rating of 280 and they are gone in 24K kms. The inner shoulder of the back tires is bald and the mid portion has grooves but barely. So a bit of camber wear. The fronts are barely legal (if only it was a blonde!) so I might as well replace all.
  6. probably as old as the car! I'll get it checked together then
  7. 330i 102K kms Looks like a steal.
  8. I've picked up M3 front control arm bushes from Yuen. Aside from getting a full alignment done, which I will once I get new tires, are there any special things I need to do once installed? Should I get new control arms? Any other suspension bits I should replace? Car has done 100K kms. Springs, shocks, RSMs, sways, sway bushes are all new/newish. Cheers.
  9. Hi Johno, The Toyos have a soft sidewall and the F1's wear too easily. Plus I've gone off directionals or else I would have considered the Falkens FK 452. Do you have Goodyears F1 Asymmetric? http://eu.goodyear.com/uk_en/tires/reposit..._F1AS/index.jsp Cheers.

    fuel economy

E36 328i auto. Town = 12.5~13l/100kms Long distance = 9l/100kms, kissing the redline multiple times 98% BP Ultimate 2% Gull Force 10. I think Gull has slightly higher octane as the car feels friskier. 95 octane is terrible. Never tried 91.
  11. Hey Grant, will take you up on that You can drive mine; its missing a clutch but still does allright
  12. Ok, my 328i needs new tires. I've been using Toyo's CT01 for a while now and they are gone. They were good in the dry but a little skittish in the wet. Has anyone used/is using them? Initial thoughts? So far best price for 225/40/18 is $340incl GST fitting/balancing at Firestone Hamz. Cheers. Marcus.
  13. Nice car with awesome wheels I'd buy if I was in the market for an M. Good luck.

  18. 1) Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG - Daily driver 2) BMW M5 E39 - Back road/weekend car 3) BMW 335i Touring Msport - for the missus 4) Range Rover Sport R - 4WD to go anywhere (I'd be happy with the TDV8) 5) Ariel Atom 2 - track days? And if I really had to have a supercar, I'd take a GT3. Not an RS.. just a 'normal' GT3.
  19. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story....jectid=10510510 Won't be the last. 2 senior Anaesthetists quit from Greymouth Hospital. (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/topic/story.cfm?c_id=204&objectid=10510359) Its chronic understaffing and a lack of staff retention.

  21. I'm in hospital working. Its better to actually follow us when we are on call for 14 hrs straight and then turn up the following day so you actually get a feel of what we do and see if its inside you to do medicine. Going to one of these roadshows is ok and talking to medical students is fine. 4th years are also new to clinical medicine so their experience is usually limited. If you have time, come by and I'll actually take you around Emergency and the Operating theatres etc. The strike is on tomorrow so it should be relatively quiet. Cheers.
  22. Its an UGLY car. Probably a great drive tho.
  23. Off Topic: Health Sciences career day? Is this at the clinical school? Don't do medicine. Too much work!
  24. Funny thing about medical insurance. I'm insured too. Even tho I'm working 'in' the system, I absolutely realise that if I needed anything done, it'll take too long. Why? A lack of staff.
