How much you want for them wheels?
-
Badass. I like them spotties.
-
Sweet as gimme a text. Oh and sorry should make it a bit clearer, it will be painted 2k white. Then shelly will wrap it with zebra goodness.
-
Yeah bearings and stuff were a PITA. It is going to be zebra coloured. No sh*t.

How the f**k can you not burn the paint using a grinder. Will believe it when you show me doing your car with it. Max, I think I have one at the shop somewhere. Will have a look and give you a PM tommorow.
-
Pretty sure your GPS will be wrong.
-
Yeah, sale price from new is the biggest thing tools come up with. As well as "think that's meant to be like that but I dunno eh bro" on any little thing you find that is f**ked.

I have tried using a dremel with a polishing wheel aswell. If you use the proper hard polishing compound and do it at the perfect speed ( I haven't been able to find this yet) and apply the right amount of force it will work. Otherwise it will just burn and look like sh*t. I have also tried a metalux hard polish compound and it worked mint. But with the dremel head being so damn small it would have taken me four weeks, so I gave up. You could always polish them and use a really decent clear to stop them from yellowing. The only problem is, with enamel clears, it will yellow. I'm not sure about 2k clear but I can't imagine it being half as bad as enamel. I have a few half full cans at work of both if you wanna try them. I also have a spray gun if you wanna come round some day and give them both a try?

^^500kg's is a little ridiculous. You could pull the carpet up and strip the sound deadening, that will lose you a few kg's. Take the huge sound deadening liner out of the boot aswell. Weights in the auto and manual are huge also, theres an excuse to do a manual conversion. Apart from that on a road going daily, I can't think of anything else. Others probably can though.

That interior is so miami vice. I love it. Roof is badass too.

^^ Corectus. I thought it wasnt that bad till I had a go at it with the grinder, there was newspaper, mutton cloth and f**k knows what else in there. I didn't think there was that much rust on it when I bought it, the whole thing was covered after I sanded all the cocks and swear words off it. The panel beater's bill also went up three fold
-
Oh also, that is a vintage midget that the panel beater is restoring. It is prestine. Every single bit is brand new, would hate to take it into the mud! Also, free plug to Graham White at Artizan Panel beaters. He is awesome.

Mofo'ing update! Been really busy with it but haven't had time to post pics. It's all pretty much done now. Everything is back in, brakes are awesomeish but they still need to be bedded in properly. Bought some badass new Bendix race pads ( $750 worth ), rebuilt the standard callipers (twice, first time I forgot to put the piston seal in and well...) Filled the gearbox, diff and engine with oil. Cheers to Glenn for the engine oil I won at the xmas meet. The brake fluid is apparently what alot of the NZV8 guys run so should be the goods ( at the price I paid for the two 500ml bottles, I certainly hope so!). Everything was bled and ready to be taken for a drive... but the front wheels were rubbing on the GC spring perch . Soooo, used some 16mm galv washers between the hub and the wheel as a rangi as f**k spacer. Worked well but definitly wouldn't recomend it. So at 11pm last Thursday night, I drove it from Albany to Birkdale to the panel beater man. What an awesome drive it was too. GC+AKG+Lockdiff= WIN. Didn't really give it a huge push but it was enough to make my doodle feel funny. Anyways, been at the panel shop all week getting cut to bits. Have lightened it a whole lot more than I though I could. All the bumpers have been gutted and the mounts have been removed and replaced with tiny steel tabs to hold the bumpers up. All mouldings etc are gone. Bonnet has been cut to almost nothing. All the rust has been taken out etc. All my finger prints are gone now from sanding. Half an hour ago we got it all primed. Here are some pics.

Are you going to leave them on that perch?
-
Have you moved into some desperate housewives style sub division?
-
That is freakin awesome, he must have been the most productive excavator driver on the whole site. Also, that Willy Wonka looking Mofo has some nice bitches.

I saw a super sweet dark green one with that creamy coloured suede soft top. Best part was the work meisters and the stance. That would be cool.

What time are you guys up?

If there was a "why the f**k did you make this thread" box I would tick that. And I'm 20.
