Phil, you seem to be dissing everyone at the moment, or is it my imagination. Did you take some angry pills this morning or what?

Ha ha, nice call Huttey, I actually have a Wiki site at www.strapper.pbwiki.com where I made the comment that I had "overused our allocated carbon footprint for the day" or words that effect. Go to the "Latest things happening in Jock's life" page for more details of the ride.Would love to state a claim to ownership of the chopper, but alas, my sugar daddy gay boyfriend has not come to sweep me off my very heterosexual feet yet!! Cheers, Jock

Yep, get where you're coming from Graham, it would never fly. Your carbon footprint is far too big by the way!!

As I said, you would need a permit to fill up a jerry can or boat etc. Hard to police I know, but I'm sure the powers could come up with something. You'd just about go nuts filling up 5 lires at a time too. At the end of the day, if you drove a car in there, you would need to be fully compliant to get gas. I spose you could park rounfd the corner and walk in. Pain in the arse though.

Or this for the same money, Ducati 851 SP2 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=99860870

Ha, ha, I spose speed cameras were bought in to catch me exceeding the limit. I can lay claim to one ticket for 61km/h at 6.00am on a Saturday morning on Fanshaw St heading to work. Not saying that is the only time I've broken the limit though. :-)

Might need a "cut" first though to remove the minor scratches.

I used to have a car on LPG. If the LPG WOF was out of date, they didn't fill you up. Easy solution..... When your car is warranted, rego'd and insured (ie compliant) you get a bar code sticker which you put right beside the filling point. A scanner on the filling bowser will only release fuel to the car when it scans and accepts the barcode/chip. You can apply for an exemption to this to fill your lawnmower 5 litre jerry can etc, but otherwise, car not compliant = no gas. I'm sure some will find a way around it, but if you get caught, car gets crushed.

Some great comments here. I agree it would be advantageous to confiscate the cars and crush them.... although I worry. I heard of a kid on another forum (or was it this one) (no, I remember now, it was in Autocar a month or two back) who lost his car and license under the "Boy Racer" legislation for "unnecesary acceleration". He appealed and lost. He thought he was in the right. Two sides to every story I guess. I come to my point. A while back when I still had the M5, I tried to "U" turn on Wairau Rd on a wet night. It ended up I realised I wasn't going to make it in one turn and ttraffic was approaching therefore not giving me time to execute a 3 point turn. What to do? Thinking quickly, I dabbed the clutch and managed to get the arse around nicely to complete the uey and carried on. Now, under current legislation and with an unforgiving cop and with my suggestion above, I would have lost my pride and joy because I was a "boy racer". Right or wrong? By the way, I answered "no" to the poll. These kids are going to race any which way you go. It's the spur of the moment, beat the cops type of mentality. The only time they will stop is if they kill someone or grow into an old fart like some of us here. Cheers, Jocko

Agreed, having just sold my 4 door this weekend. Have added a "comment" to your ad.

Seems all cars from this forum are heading there. My 325 went down there on Saturday. Hawkes Bay, the gathering point of good BMs

Fantastic, was hoping like hell it went well and you had no dramas. Have fun. Cheers, Jock

***SOLD*** Just to let you all know that the "Gus" has been sold. Went to the younger brother of a member here, "GIJoel" in Napier. Really pleased that it appears to have gone to a good home. Sad to see it go though. Hope you had a good trip home Nick. Good luck with the car and don't hesitate to get in touch via here if you have any questions. Cheers, Jock
