Wow, have to go a wipe up now (drool down my chin that is)

At the end of the day, it's still a 325 and not worth $12.5k IMHO. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.asp?id=64353663 Cheers, Jock

If not, I'll mortgage the wife, kids and cat for it!

GuysThe T16 was genuine and was sold to a guy in the UK. PJ bought the RS about a year ago and spent heaps to get it looking as good as it is. The story of why he didn't make the start is his mechanics (I'm not saying who) gave the engine a freshen up. When they went to put the spark plug leads on they noticed the small screw fitting from on top of one of the plugs was missing. They didn't think much of it and found another one and reconnected everything. They turned the motor over a few times with no ignition to get oil through all the galleries and noticed a small "clicking" sound. Fearing the worst, they pulled the plugs and found the offending fitting in the bore. This was all a day before the prologue. PJ thought about risking it, but decided not to and pulled the motor apart. I don't know what they found in the way of damage, but PJ says the donkey is worth about $60k to replace!!. Should be going for this year though. Cheers, Jock

My Dad had a 1985 E12 M535i (I think, I'll stand corrected, the round shape 5 series) from SA, 1 of 5 that came in at the same time. Great Q car as no spoilers or bullsh%t on the car. Still resides in Napier with a good doctor who refused to write it off after rolling it because "it used to be Stylesy's" and rebuilt it.

Or this one which is stating at $58k and the guy reckons is close to reserve. Well worth reading the blurb on the car, cracked me up.http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-63956106.htm

Guys, FYI the pug broke a suspension component to cause the crash. Note the odd tyre marks just prior to impact. PJ, the driver, is very competitive and not one to bottle up his emotions!! The $1k cost to replace his helmet pales in comparison to the cost to fix the car, which he has since sold (early 2005) and replaced with an RS200 Escort. His monkey mechanics stuffed his chances in competing in 2005 Targa, and to date (July 2006) it's still not running right!!The only way to make a small fortune from Motorsport is to start with a large one, unless your name in Bernie or Ron (Dennis)! Cheers, Jock E: Nice way to drag up an old thread

For new, major parts, go to www.bmaparts.com The exchange rate doesn't work too well in our favour now, but when it was at about US 70c to the NZ $, I was saving at least 40% and that takes into account the freight. I only got pinged for GST once in 6 shipments when bringing in stuff for my M5. email is [email protected] for quotes. He's really helpfull.

Have doubts on how well it would tow the trailer!
-
Do you want the ones off your old car (still pictured in your profile I might ad, do you miss it that much?!!)
-
If it doesn't make it go faster, what's the point? That applies to anything.
-
6 unanswered questions so far. Do we run a sweep on when he pulls the ad? I reckon about 7 tonight!

I've asked him if it comes in pink!

I'll do a straight swap for Gus's old 325!! Seriously though, don't tempt me.

So so so so sad, I really hope he doesn't study aeronautical engineering otherwise we're all in trouble.

I'd rather have the V8 Vantage option, (with "wheel on" option of course), they sound better apparently.
