I put that stick on stuff on my 'vert which has the same fogs as yours. Both broke after it was installed and it kept coming loose, even after sticking with silicone and even after I ground all the raised letters flat. Had the same trouble with Alley's F/L fogs, the stuff came loose all the time, used silicone too and ground the letters flat. So I have given up with that stuff, waste of time on fogs imo.. but seems to stick well on headlights, can't work out why..?? I have made some plastic covers as Graham said, they work great. In your case you cut them out the same size as the outer black plastic retaining frame and screw them on using the existing 2 retaining screw points making sure they are spaced clear of the glass behind them, mine is about 1mm clear. You don't actually notice them unless you look carefully.

my sticker would have to say something like " my other 11 cars are E30's"..

I have a lot of different spring makes (at least 6) in my various e30s and find the King in my 'vert to be the best imo. They are superlows and I have had the shocks shortened. Jamex are just too soft, Eibach far too harsh (but give good handling), Dobis far too soft etc. King seems to give a good all round ride. As I don't have experience with your custom made springs I can't really comment there. Try out a car with them in is your best bet.

buy them on Ebay for about NZ$65 landed here.

SH10 intersection with Waimate North road. SH10 just before the Warehouse in Waipapa. This was so deep at one point that a Honda stranded on the lhs had just it's roof sticking out. They were only letting large trucks through at this point but had to stop shortly after i took this pic as the water rose about another 500mm. I had to take a long way around via Puketotara to get to Pungaere road where I live. Those of you who came to the northland meet and went to the Warehouse area to do some skids won't belive the pics of what that area looked like. Where you did them was about 1.5m deep in strongly flowing water, the warehouse was closed as the water had been running through the carpark. In all, an interesting time, took about 200 pics yesterday. I use them as a record for flood levels for the District Council where I work and head up the building and planning sections. (I am a civil engineer in my life outside bimmersport..)

pics I took on my journeys yesterday. I was trying to get to Graham's office in Paihia for a meeting but had to turn around at Opua because of slips and was very fortunate to get out and not be stranded like Graham. Was stuck between slips for a while but a couple of us managed to clear a small path through one slip, get through just before it closed behind us again leaving a number of tourist buses and cars stuck between. Managed to kill my mobile phone in a large puddle while doing it. Some pics from SH11.. slip I managed to get around on my way back that wasn't there when I went along the road earlier. This below is the bridge just at the exit to Moerwa on SH1, when I went across it (they were only allowing 4X4 and trucks through), it lifted my Outlander and nearly slammed it into the crash barrier on the side. The poor guy holding the lollipop nearly sh*t himself!! So did I !!!! one below on SH10 on the way to Alley's work at Puketona junction. There were many flooded sections like this on the highway. Bulls Gorge, just outside Kerikeri, Alley was about 5 mins ahead of me at this time (didn't know it at the time though). When she went through it was a small slip on the rhs, this is what it was like when I got there, you could JUST squeeze through next to the barrier on the lhs. I went through and the guy behind me just got through before it slipped again and completely closed the road, suppose I was bloody lucky here..

nokia hands free cellphone kits (bluetooth)
will replied to btccm3's topic in Sponsors & Preferential Rates.
only 6 kits? what am I supposed to do for my other 11 cars? seriously, these are really good kits and a bargain at the price. They should handle more than one phone, just have to pair each phone to it. Most will handle at least 3 phones I think. Not sure about the simultaneously bit though, must try it out on mine.. -
Em, if you even THINK of doing this to your almost mint M325i, I will *?/#$%#**!!&%$#@

In your case it looks like someone threw the good bit away and raised the afterbirth!! Certainly hope you are NEVER able to breed. You certainly fit the description of oxygen thief..

Graeme is right, there are 3 options, the Bentley manual clearly describes them. I have found several errors in the e30 restoration bible based on my own experience and cross-referencing other manuals. I have an 89 320 with an external main pump and a 91 318 also with an external main pump, but an 88 320 with an internal main pump. Don't just replace pumps, get a pressure check done first. If you have a lift pump in the tank, it should pump at 0.3bar. the main pumps, whether inside the tank or under the passenger side sill, should pump at 3bar, give or take a bit in both cases. The lift pump will only be used in conjunction with the external pump, and is not really necessary, but it does help keep the main pump healthy. Check your fuel filter at the same time, could be blocked. Will

Get Gus with his hammer!!!! or use the axe you used on your phone.. bring it round, I'll have a look

Know about the gong, works when you set the speed limit and exceed it or when the outside temp is below 3degC (Ithink) to warn of possible ice on the road. Gong works on all my cars but not with the door..
-
Didn't know there was a door gong function..?? None of my current 3 cars with OBC have it ??

you'r not kidding!!!!!!!!! worse than f****ing gay!!!!! (makes me appreciate the quiet crunk place.. )

Ok, finished, what a hassle to get it posted. If anything is not clear, just post and I'll try to expand on this. Ok Martyyn, you can get out of your zimmerframe and get to it now!! Will

Pull the light bar out using a long nose pliers or similar. Pic shows light bar and 2 globes. Now replace the globes.. use 6v ones if you can locate them or convert the board to accept 12v ones. (You can also use LED's but I have not tried this yet so can't comment as to how effective it will be..) Converting the light bar to use 12V bulbs. Pic shows standard light bar viewed from the board side. You need to remove a small section from the track (arrowed). This is the ONLY mod you make to the board itself. Pic shows removed section (circled). Next, use soldering iron to remove both 6V globes. Replace the globes with 12V ones. I use the globes you find in the ash tray lights. You can also buy these small 12V lights from Repco etc. Some jappas use them as well. They push into a holder. You will need to bend the contacts away from the globe and clean the wires by scraping them with a blade so the surface is ready for soldering. If you don't scrape them clean, the solder won't stick. Once you have soldered the new globes back in, you need to solder 2 bits of thin wire in the positions shown to form the parallel circuit. Put the bar back in the OBC and reassemble the car in reverse order of disassembly. As stated, I will expand this at a later stage to include the complete removal of the dash..

Remove the nut holding the fan control switch. Use a small flat screwdriver to unscrew it. Remove the two small philips head screws from the positions shown. The panel holding the OBC should now be free. Pull it forward to remove. Remove the plug under the OBC by pulling the black clip outwards and free the plug. Remove the OBC by removing the 4 philips head screws holding it in place. next post...

If you have a lot of patience and a small star screwdriver, you can leave the 2 consoles in place and just proceed to the next step. But be warned, it is bloody awkward and I have found it less frustrating and a lot quicker to remove both consoles first. Remove the two philips screws in the positions indicated by the screwdriver. Use a mirror to view them if you can’t see them. Two pics below show the positions. Pop all the switches out of the centre dash console panel, remove the three vent control slider knobs and the two rotational switch knobs for the temp and fan controls as arrowed/circled. . (If necessary, also remove the radio from the console). Use a screwdriver inserted through the slider slots to pry the cover panel forward as shown and remove the cover. Remove the 4 screws from behind the cover as shown. next post....

Remove the plastic nut you find at the rear of the console under the gearlever boot/cover. (circled) Pop the switches upwards from underside of console and remove the plugs from them. Remove the astray by removing the 2 screws and lifting it from the rear and pulling it towards the front of the car. (It can stick so don't think there are any other screws you have missed). The second photo shows the tags that secure the astray holder to the rear of the console, the holder has to be pulled towards the front of the car to free these tags. Undo the cig lighter wires and remove the ashtray holder. If the console has never been removed before, there will be an 8mm self-tapper up in the position shown. (red arrow) You will need to remove this. It is quite awkward to get to so use a mirror to see if it is in fact there. The second pic shows the console removed and the securing bracket is circled. Also, there may be a plastic securing screw at the extreme front of the console as shown. This is released by turning a quarter turn and removing it. Now lift the console from the gearlever end to free it from the stud that the plastic nut was screwed onto. Pull it backwards gently. You will probably need to assist the bracket that was attached by the 8mm self-tapper to clear from under the main dash. You may also need to free it from where it goes under the dash as it can stick there. Once free, you should be able to remove it completely. (Hint.. put the car in 4th gear and let the handbrake down so that it doesn't hook on either the gearlever or the handbrake lever). onto next post.. forum limits the number of pics in each post...

How to remove the OBC (my preferred method). This will be expanded to include the complete dash removal at a later date.. (it is very detailed to assist the E30 nOObs out there..) All comments refer to the picture directly below them. Remove the cover under the steering column. Remove the three plastic screws arrowed in yellow. They release by giving them a quarter turn. There may be another screw in the position arrowed in red. Remove this too. Pull the cover down and out. Next remove the trim panel under the gauge console. There are two knurled wheels that screw it up behind the dash in the positions circled. Put your fingers up in the positions indicated and undo them by turning them in a clockwise direction. You may need to push on the outside of the cover to release them slightly. 2 pics below.. the next 2 pics show the cover removed and the slots where the knurled wheels are positioned behind the dash. (for clarity). Next, remove the handbrake console.... Remove the rear ashtray and undo the plastic nut. (circled) Lift the handbrake boot at the front to release it from the console. Lift the handbrake console from the rear and remove it. Remove the main console around the gear lever.... Manual gearbox.... Separate the gearlever boot from the console. Auto gearbox... pull the section of the plastic cover off as shown. Just put your fingers in the gap and lift the rhs cover. onto next post, forum unfortunately limits the numberof pics to each post, so PLEASE don't post here till I am finished adding the whole writeup.. Quick update, since last pic on this topic, have added clear indicators and side repeaters (can't remember what car the sides are meant for, they are much smaller than stock), fabricated and fitted foglight protectors and added germanplates. Refitted the headlight wipers and got them working. Writeup of the whole inside and exterior transformation is still to come sometime when I'm bored.. edit.. and redded the tails too.. will
