The main reason I turned to the dark side. Any amount of power is never enough. But there is i sweet spot i reckon. Where, yes you could do more, but it will always catch you with, 'yeaaah, this pulls.' IMO the m20 falls JUST below this level. (In stock -> mild tune). It sux bc I reckon it is just, by the tiniest amount, not quick enough. What is an m20? 170hp? 210-220hp would be mean. 280hp in an FR e30 would would be so mental. Its a real shame a 250hp e30 isn't very affordable.

Carl is dead right, any gains will be offset with the cost to replace. Fuel economy: The worst car isnt even that bad if you don't floor it everywhere. My STI is not really any worse than my e30. Nothing noticable anyway. The way you drive it has 100x more impact. I suppose it just so happens that 'economical' cars are slow, so you dont drive them 'spirited'. So it exacgerates how ecomonical they are. Solution IMO is make it more expensive to register older cars, like Japan. Therefore it gets to a point where you may as well upgrade to a newer car. I know you e30 g33ks love that idea.

Oil breather: Does the stock system have no breathing? ie sealed? If not then i doubt this would do anything bar bling. If they are sealed then would you want to make such a massive change like that, when the manufacturer could do it at no cost? I know nothing...

A lot of people would agree they are the best handling FWD car you can get. They handle better than most front wheel drive based 4wd's too. They'll go around a corner quicker than a WRX...

600hp in an e30 is mental. its 'fun' with 170hp in the wet, 300hp would be rediculous, 400hp = crazy. 600hp? Will it even be driveable in anything but bone dry conditions? I vote m50, and NA. EJ20 FTW.
