Got it at Barvarian. My bushes were all shot so it wasnt much for the upgrade. The linkage thing is like $60 i think. From what i understand its just a little piece that goes between the lever and the bit that the lever usually attatches to. Its a copy of the schnitzer one i was told. Just a piece of aluminium. The lever is the same length, which is sweet because IMO higher up is better. i asked about that, but didnt really understand the answer. Its close to perfect. i.e.i dont see how you could make it better. You wouldnt want it 'shorter', (its like one click into gear).

Wicked mod. I thought it would be good, but its great. I got the schnitzer replica linkage, with the standard shift lever. Changes are like 'one click up' for 1st, 'one click down' for 2nd. Tight and a bit notchy (i like that). Fully recomended. :thumb:

Im thinking EVO recaros, or similar. Guy I spoke to reckons use the rails from the evo and make adapter to fit my mounting points. Seatbelt mounting wont change. I would sell my sport seats with their rails. $800 to fit realistic?

Really? i woudn't have thought that expensive. So say i i bought some STI seats. Would i want it with the STI rails? Or would it be preferable to attach e30 rails to the STI seats? Obviously some work would be needed. Say i buy some Jamex seats, how are they fitted? Custom mounts? or jamex provide a fitting kit? Would i be able to use a (jamex or sim.) fitting kit attathced to STI seats? Do you need a cert?

How much would you be looking at to fit seats from another car to an e30? Would you go to a fabricator or seat upholsterer to do something like this? Just looking for a ballpark figure excluding the seats.

itsa lovely pipe dream. I dont have time/skills to do any work myself though, so the only way id be convinced is if i handed over a stack (small one) of notes, and just pick up my faster car a week later.

That is a reason to cry.I had a GTX, therefore i know what pain gearboxes can cause. I was sorta fed up and said, "just fix it". New unit. Wasnt that bad. few hundy or something. Im closing my eyse and opening my wallet next week for another round of my favourite game. "Just fix it"

EJ20 has 350nm. if you're gonna put something in it why not something different. 4g63 is pretty similar. 220nm for the s2000, but 9000rpm!

if you were going to bastardise it, s2000 motor would be a dream. ps s2000 seats on trademe to match. 4g63? EJ20? 20 valve 4AGE (tuned) to make it sorta similar s14?

Whats the difference between the 073 ecu and the 173? Is one better? Are they interchangable? Shot
