  1. A 320 would be fine, you can pick up some nice early 90s ones for around 4-5k, just looks around, test drive them if you can of course.
  2. While we're on the subject of euro plates, how easy are they to install? I have some on the way but Ive heard they can be a bitch to install, any tips?
  3. I don't really think its a case of being a problem .. just that decent power doesnt hit till about 35-4000rpm ... I dunno, just my 2 cents lol.
  4. Excuse my ignorance .. are these easy to install?
  5. I need one of these also, for my 320i.
  6. Quite hard to tell how much oil is, so I'm going to give it a change this weekend. Yeah, the beeps aren't on if I plug my belt in before I start the car, sorry for the f**king dumb questions, I'm just new to the BMW scene 'tis all. Got my PPlate on the way too BEEMIR

    17" wheels

NICE wheels, would they fit an E36 320i? .. wonder if I could get the money together if they do ...
  8. Grant, I am having trouble downloading said manual, can I flick you a few bucks for you to burn me a copy+mail it, if you wouldn't mind that is. Thanks heaps.
  9. Afternoon all, Thought you guys would be the most in the know about this, in my 1995 320i all the green "service" lights are lit up, does this mean it needs a service? or do they count down from full green to nothing and is that when it needs a service? Also, when I turn the ignition on/start the engine, the car beeps half a dozen times, is this normal? No faults are showing on the OBC .. I don't have a service manual yet, or operators manual. Hope you guys can help me out. Cheers. Josh
  10. Thanks for the advice everyone ... going to get some black ones next week if all goes to plan, will let you know once I have them in - with pics too.
  11. lol, nice reply. It'll be those or these black lights, can anyone offer advice on how to install?
  12. Gidday all, I am looking at buying some clear headlights (like these), are they fairly easy for a novice to install? I see they have 2 clips/screw holes in the top that would match up with the standard bimmer ones .. how hard is the whole wiring process, plug n play? Or would it be better to pay and auto electrician/someone who knows how to do it? Thanks!
  13. Yeah, few other bimmer forums Ive been browsing mentioned about K&N, should I make a box for it or can I get one to go where the standard filter is now? Next time I fill up it'll be 96!
  14. Save me starting another thread .. are there any worthwhile additions that can be made to the engine to give a little more power? Cheers.
  15. Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Today was a long day, mounting 6x9s was not as easy as I thought, took out the rear tray as well as the rear pillars with the lights in them, ended up breaking half the bloody clips on the pillar inserts so I'll have to sort something out this week so they sit in a bit more secure than they are now. We ended up sitting the 6x9s in the factory hole and custom making some risers, it was an extremely tight squeeze, I'll post some pics when they are covered with carpet/felt - when they don't look like utter crap. Thanks for the advice about the wheels, I definitely don't want chromies, I'm not a big fan. And yeah ... the car doesn't have too much "go" at the moment so I would hate to lose much if I put on big wheels, I think 17s and a nice lowering kit would set it off nicely. The alarm I had installed is called and AutoWatch, made in the UK, installed by a local shop (SSS on Rangitikei Street), it has 3 immobilisation points, glass break sensors etc, it seems to work well.
  16. Hi all, this is one hell of a great forum! I have just purchased my first car - after test driving many bimmers I settled on a nice and very standard '95 320i, only 79 thousand k's - its a jap import. The car is abosultely mint. Day after I got it I had a rather expesnive immobiliser/alarm etc installed - fully worth it. I plan on getting new springs/shocks all round, inlcuding some nice rims - do you guys have any recommendations? Me and a mate just put a Sony GTX350 headunit in last weekend, tomorrow 6x9s are being put into the rear tray and I plan on using the skihole behind the seat for a sub! Dont laugh at the pics ... its stock at the moment
  17. Still for sale? How much would I be looking at for front springs to match? Do ya know? (bmw lowering n00b) Thanks!
