The passenger seatbelt on my e36 coupe isn't automatically retracting. Iv'e heard that it has to retract to get a warrent. I'm going to get it in the weekend but if I'll need to replace it id like to know beforehand. Could someone who know's clarify if it needs to retract to pass. Also is it fine to get a second hand one or is it best to buy new. Cheers

Cars that went to the Jap market had to follow certain regulations. I can't remember the exact percentage but say 40% had to come from local Jap manufacturers. The cars went to Japan partly assembled and were finished there. So the auto box's were made in Japan.Any auto e36 imported from Japan has jap spec's so no it would be a Jatco

As far as I know jammers are illegal in new zealand, not having them but being caught using them. Be careful how you use it
