To be honest Luke, I haven't seen one unmarked cop car that hasn't been a commodore yet. I've heard soo many stories about Hyundais and Honda's etc but I've never seen one!

Beginner's guide to Sway/ Anti-Roll Bars please?
greenday-rulz21 replied to Sick Puppy's topic in Performance
Yes, motorsport sway bars are thicker. They are measured in diameter, so you can use a caliper. I don't know anything about E34 swaybars, only E36. -

Got a link mate? Will have a look.

Its a sports bra. Still a car bra, just a different style.

They seem to be in direct competition with Umnitza. I personally prefer Umnitza. Have answered my questions promptly when I've inquired. Prices seem to be a bit cheaper as well. The product should say what it fits?

You can just swap in standard springs. You don't need to swap the struts too. Ray at HellBM. 021 2435526

Now I've got in 7 sets of gauge cluster rings. 2 x E36 3 x E46 2 x E38/E39/E53 All sets are in Satin Silver apart from one E46 set which is in Chrome. If you would like a set PM me. Prices: E36 @ $45 E46 @ $48 E39 etc @ $52 Cheaper than the ones on Trade me by $20. I run these in my E36 and have had them for a year and they are great, make the interior a little more special. Good quality. Links to the Trade Me auctions for further info and pictures. I will get some up in this thread soonish. If you get in here first then you will get the above prices. E36 - E46 - E38/E39/E53 Thanks for looking. Nick

iPod full stop I had a mini 4gb, then upgraded to a Classic 80gb then up to a Classic 120gb. All very good, none broke. My bit of advice for what its worth. Get a decent sized one, I've got many mates which have bought 4-8gb nano's and fill it up extremely fast and regret not getting a classic. For the extra cash its definitely worth the extra storage.

Apparently this is the company that supplies BMW with the Shadow Chrome. Not all wheel shops can do it as its quite involved and also its meant to cost a fortune ($2200 USD Option on the E39 M5 from factory). Martyn is correct that the black is a base. http://www.color-dec.it/english/Metallic_Jewels_pag2.htm

The stock US headlights are made by hella and are plastic lens reflector (not projector) lights that take 9006 (halogen) bulbs. These are terrible terrible lights. They look bad and have very poor output. They're a complete joke on a car that came with a $40K sticker on it and BMW should be ashamed they produced the car with them fitted. It's the biggest mistake they ever made. The BMW CCA has put a price on the head of the chief lighting engineer responsible for the design and fitting of the US spec lights. He went into hiding in the late 90's and has been a recluse ever since, avoiding the consequences of his decision. Many people in America upgrade to Euro style headlights. Bosch made the OEM lights for the Euro cars, which are glass lens projector lights. There are other companies that make them and distribute them for sale in the US. ZKW is one brand, Depo also makes a version, as well as Apexcone, DJ auto, and a few others. These lights take H1 (halogen) bulbs. I've done enough research into angel eyes over the last year and a half!! US spec = plastic Euro and all other countries ZKW, Hella, Bosch all glass

Very nice. I was looking at this the time I bought my 323, and it wasn't presented neatly then. But it looks as though the owner before you has put in a lot of work. Looks mint.
-
The reason all the DIY's you read are saying plastic is because American E36 headlights have plastic lenses. European Ellipsoids (Any headlight fitted to an E36 outside of America) has a glass lens. You don't have to remove the lights to put eyebrows on?

You shouldn't put a higher wattage in than is specified by factory. Then the housing might melt or wires ect will catch on fire from the heat.

Adrian (arros), thanks for the good comments. Glad you like it! Yea, I'm selling the front and will get a brand new one, should make it look a bit better. Ian, Don't know if I mentioned. I put a couple photos in the other thread of one on an E34, they look exactly the same. Again, I'll be ordering probably about Wednesday. So anyone keen contact me before hand otherwise you might have to wait a month or two before I bring anymore in. AND to anyone looking at painting their spoiler they got off me. You will want to get it into pretty much the exact shape you will want it before you paint it. As if you paint it and then bend in to fit the shape of the boot the paint might crack/flake etc.
-
No problem at all mate, no rush.
-
Im ordering another shipment about Wednesday this week. I might start another thread. This ones a bit messy.I have one E30 one left. Yours If you want it. Just PM me for details.
-
For anyone interested. Independent Prestige in Aucks has a Lamborghini bike which is absolutely amazing.
-
There was no gasket underneath the spoiler to protect the boot so the marks you see are the wear marks through the paint unfortunately. Not really noticeable in person. Will probably get the boot redone sometime anyway.
-
Oh yea Martyn, I know what you were meaning. I probably would have placed it back a bit more if I didn't have to worry about the holes, but covering them was worth it definitely. It looks far better in real life IMO.
-
It could, I mainly placed it there to cover three holes left there by taking the original M3 spoiler off. It honestly looks a lot better in real life. When I first took those pictures I thought it looked a bit weird and I actually went outside to have another look, but I'm happy enough with the placement.

Very good. Might be interested in doing this. Did you have a writeup to go off? Keen to know how to put them in, wouldn't have a clue how to.
