Team McMillan fail. Jerry Clayton own. At least to do with their parts department. I went in to TM asking about the remote key, what was the deal in getting another one. Its a seperate remote. The guy insisted it wasn't a genuine alarm installed in the car. I knew it was. Took it into Jerry Clayton last weekend. Sue is the man full stop. She said in her 8 years in the Parts Department she had never seen a geuine BMW alarm with a seperate remote. But I insisted it was genuine, (As I knew) and she looked into the parts catalog and what do you know! It was there! Now, never while I was there did she say I was wrong. She did put forward her points but never did she say I was wrong. Team McMillan on the other hand wouldn't even consider I was right. The guy was arrogant and treated me horribly. Ok i'm still a teenager but I'm a customer! Its insulting that they shrug you off because of stereotypes. If they don't want my money, they think I care? I'll go down the road and pick up the parts probably cheaper. Also, I took advantage of the $20 WOF check. Took it into TM, customer service was OK, the service desk guy was nice. Took a while for a WOF though. Failed on the reaction rod bushes and they tried to charge me $300 for parts! Not including labour or other expenses. Glenn sorted me out for no more than $140 from memory. Cheers Glenn. Like someone else said, they try and reel you in with the $20 Wof then find stupid little things wrong and charge an arm and a leg to fix them. My rant over. I thought the $20 wof was only offered with the voucher. If thats what you used to get the $20 warrant then a wash isn't included. Its a seperate voucher, and you're only allowed to use one per visit.

Braided Lines. Improve brake feel soo much. Although for 1 track day its probably overkill, but if you're going to go out more often then it might be a good mod to look into.
-
Cheers mate. Sooo jealous of your M parallels btw. I'm on the search for the clear rears. Don't come up very often unfortunately.

Then thats not bad at all mate. Atleast IMO.

Haha, no problem. Lifetime warranty is a bonus. The orion's are rated at 100k hours from memory so nobodies ever gonna wear them out. But its good to have. Thats another thing I forgot about. Chromium you have to silicone to the lens while the Orion has a sticky back. Good advancement IMO. Cheapest shipping is $41.20. NZ $65. All prices are in USD. So all up you're looking at approx. $260 delivered. Which is a bit steep but you're getting the highest quality, best proven, best looking angel eyes on the market. That price doesn't put me off. All markets except for America have the European Ellipsoids. The American cars have plastic lens headlights which you can't take apart hence only being able to fit them to European headlights. There is no difference. No beam throw problems as they're just rings.

Ok, Seeing as I appreciated your opinions sooo much and the 'keep its' seemed to be leading for the entire time bar 5 minutes I thought I'd leave it on. So I 'kept it' for a week.... then I took it off! Now, I think I perfer it. As I knew it would do, its given it a cleaner line. I didn't get a photo completely side on of course, but the profile is a lot flatter and cleaner aswell. I'm gonna leave it off for a while, then maybe get a lip spoiler in the future. I'm still keen to hear your opinions. Especially now seeing its off. Cheers guys. Including the customary double shot

Someone else actually looking for quality angel eyes! I'm getting some in for my birthday. Won't put sh*t on my car, will only consider Umnitza. I have put a lot of time in for research. I'm kinda split between the Chromium and the Orion. The orion you would only go for the Version 2 as it has 60 LED's compared to the V 1's 30. The V 1 is good if you want the Audi LED look, as seen on the R8. The things putting me off the chromium are the need for ballasts. The Orion don't need ballasts at all. Also the chromium sound like old technology to me. Orion look brighter at day time in comparisons. These are the two to choose between: Chromium Orion What ever you do, don't go wireless. Only heard bad things about it. Atm, I'm pretty much set on the Orion Version 2. Standard 6000K. Very good thread to read through on M3forum HERE. Spent a lot of time looking through there. The best advise I can offer on choosing is to put in some time and look at the differences between them youself. The Orion can either be a love or hate thing. Hope that stuff helps somewhat. Cheers, Nick

Very nice mate! That Boston green coupe is stunning. Nice buy. And of course Nigel, the M3 is beautiful as always! We need to have an E36 coupe photoshoot sometime. There seems to be a lot more on the board now.

Hahahaha, fantastic!

Was missing on mine. Literally only a dollar or two from memory from BMW.

Sorry to hear that Nathan. Things can happen soo fast. Also my favourite on the site atm. That front pic you posted put me in love with it! Hopefully you'll find a way out of the situation, seems as though you have some mint plans anyway.

I haven't had any trouble yet mate. Been through a couple police checkpoints and they haven't noticed. I think you have to find a real knob of a cop to bother pulling you over for them. I don't regret getting them or putting them on. It completes the car IMO.

Sounds like a problem with the gearbox not the conversion.

I have had good experience with Mainfreight. Got a sway bar sent up to Aucks from Invercargil, cost $30 from memory. Very awkward shape, I was pleased with that price.

Ohh pissshhh. Who needs votes!
-
^^ Agree mate. Now seeing as the 'remove it' votes are beating the 'keep it's'. I'm gonna have to remove it! haha. I tried today but it looks asthough someone has tried to remove it in the past as one of the screws are stripped. Will give it a proper go tomorrow, and post up the results.

No. The prices are only for one plate.Go to German Plates, then go down and get the two customized plates.

Haha, the one I replaced in my 323 was the original battery from '99. It only gave up becasue the last owners forgot to top it up at all and it went dry. Very good batteries OEM are. Thats why I replaced it with another OEM one.

Sorry mate. Thought you were talking about your e46. Sometimes the connections can get loose, try taking them out and putting them back in. Although you've probably tried this.
-
HB mate. Good to see you gave your orange beast a present! Shadowlining and the drop looked mint.

How do you mean Brake Light in control panel? Instrument Cluster? Describe the light?

That has made my day!
