  1. Sh*t! I'm happy with my valuation!
  2. Was just thinking that. BMW. Mercedes. Honda. < Spot the odd one out
  3. I have seen what eggs do to a car! Hardly anything compared to pretty much anything else that they could do!Coined, smashed in windows, panels etc. Have you seen what fr*kin Acetone does to a car? It removes the paint! Through my experiences and the area which my mates live thats what they use if they're serious. My mates car got acetone splashed on and it completely dissolves the paint, had to have it repainted. Maybe my perception of whats bad is a little on the whats the worst side.
  4. Mate, be glad she only used eggs! Jeez! I'd be soo happy if it was only eggs.
  5. I personally think thats a great price for a 2002 facelift 525. I just had a quick look and others are wayyy above what you're asking.
  6. You want to be careful if you talk to a representative about something that might void the cover. If you talk to someone do not give them any info which can link you to your car cover. If you ask them about that mod, and it would void the cover, they can put a little flag up against your info in the computer and if you happen to have a crash, they will check it out. A mate I know in insurance let me know about that. If you ask about a mod that would void the cover, they assume you're gonna do the mod. So they will check for it when and if they need to. Hope that info helps.
  7. Exactly what I was going to say. I have such strong feelings on these subjects. This is yet another case where it ruins the name of mature younger drivers. I'm actually starting to think we're now a minority compared to the idiots on the road. Seriously, attacking a police officer? What d*ckheads think thats cool? Somebody needs to teach them what respect is. Respect for the law, and for the public. I by no means am an angel myself but I have respect for the people that put their lives on the line everyday trying to keep NZ on the straight. But remember they keep digging themselfs into a bigger hole.
  8. yea, top of Pt Chev near the shops. It is auto unfortunately.
  9. Know a guy at turners, talked to him earlier and he mentioned they weren't genuine. Never counted the spokes personally. Will call him later and set him straight!
  10. Ray at HellBM can sort you out for any part. Cheapest prices around. Welcome mate.
  11. A shame they're not real Alpina wheels. Otherwise they would be worth a fortune.
  12. Have walked past this car every morning for the last 2 weeks and I thought I'd check it out finally. Just to get it straight, I don't have any connection to the car or the dealer, just though someone might be interested in a straight example. Sorry for the crap pic. Place was locked up when I went past. Its a 1996 328i coupe. Hellrot. Had a talk to the guy later and he mentioned it had done around 120k's. It honestly is a straight example, from what I saw the paint was almost immaculate. Under the bonnet was clean. Car is at Magnum motors in Pt Chev. Talk to Morris.
  13. We all have noob moments. It was just a noob moment wasn't it?
  14. It helps if we know where you are mate.
  15. I didn't realize you had a choice between Auto and Manual?
  16. Thanks Glenn, I'll go out and check it. New bloody bulbs as well.
  17. Well done mate. Might do this to mine just to get better ventilation. Do you mind me asking how much the filter was?
  18. One of the most true statements EVER!

  20. You have a frikkin e92 M3! Pic's!btw, that imola red e39 is hott. No response, still. Little things like that tell me the seller is either completely lazy or is hiding something. I don't have time for messing around. But by the looks of the car in the photos and with regards to the price it looks very nice. Its just ashame the owner isn't overly keen to communicate. Although who would really want to sell their 540! I haven't read over the whole thread again to see what has been said but don't jump into anything. A good example can not have any problems during ownership, but an unloved example can be a complete pain to you and your wallet. E39's can have some very expensive things go wrong, one example, the cooling system around 100k is notorious for going. One thing I've picked up from my fathers e39 540 over his ownership of the car is that a mechanical warranty is worth its weight in gold. Had a few things go and the warranty paid for itself first problem. Good luck with the car mate, as I said it looks bloody nice.
