  1. Denon are great systems. Look stunning and are really nice to use. I have to admit they can be pricey, but in this case you get what you pay for. For reasonably small speakers, they have one hell of a punch. I was honestly blown away when I heard the quality of the sound. The NZ stockists are Eastern Hi-Fi AFAIK. Thats where we got our unit.
  2. Those parts look absolutely stunning. I think I'm in love with those rims And those recaros! wow.
  3. I see. Was it always like that or did they recently change it? Still waaaayyyy to expensive.
  4. Really, i've just had a look on their site and they're listed as $399. I'm sure you could guarantee more than 100 sales!
  5. Thanks everyone for your input. It is valuable and interesting reading. BD, thanks for that info. Its good to have it all in one place. Its rather hard to decide plasma or LCD (like presso!) because as Martyn said, It all comes down to what you use it for. presso, interesting story. Appreciate it. Just shows that its easy to be swayed and maybe not to have a preference set in stone before you go into the shop Martyn, The tv will mainly be hooked up to a HD Recorder, and sky (with the possibility of mysky HDi if it works allgood) also sometimes HD xbox 360. Just general use, movies, sports, new etc. Interesting how you all went for Samsungs. I'm assuming you found it to be far better than the competition? Hardware wise, and I have to admit they can look absolutely magnificent in the right room. Jeremy, My mother has a Sony 40" LCD. Looks great also pictures not bad. HD ready, so not Full HD which is a shame. But seeing she doesn't have freeview or sky she's not getting the best picture out of it as possible. Samsung and Sony are the two I'm kinda leaning towards now. Have experiences with both and both perform very well. Graham, Thanks very much for that advice. Very valuable. Future proofing! I doubt thats realistically possible these days, unless of course you want to spend a fortune. Its like computers, I bought my Dell laptop 20 months ago. Specc'd it fully 2 gig ram, 120 gig HD, good graphics, and you go on their site today and you can easily double all of those numbers for the same price or less! Its amazing, and Tv's are slightly like that as well I believe. But if you get a good top of the line TV it should do what you want for years. Kiwi535 and Mark, I didn't realize they would upgrade your cables. Something to look into. I've got the impression since I've been looking around, like you said, Samsung are the best LCDs. Any other opinions, experiences are appreciated. Cheers
  6. Need a bit of advice. I was lying in front of the TV this afternoon. Put my hand over my eyes to rub them and as soon as I closed them I heard what sounded like a gunshot come from the TV. Gave me the frikin fight of my life . Worst timing of course. TV smelt like burnt plastic for the rest of the day. So the old 1 ton brick looks as though it will be thrown out the window to make space for a new flat panel. I'm not a noob when it comes to technology and know quite a bit, but I was just putting a thread out asking about you opinions, experiences, etc about what to go for. A few things I've heard. Below 40" LCD is better, Above 40" Plasma is preferred. This AFAIK is mainly because of price. The higher the contrast ratio the better. i.e. 10,000:1 is better than 2,000:1 Would you recommend buying from the large shops? Or brand new on Trade Me? Its seems as though you can make a considerable saving on trade me, most even come with manufacturers warranties. Opinions? It must be Full HD and either 46" or below. So if any of you could give any suggestions. Like, what you use, whether you recommend it, preferred brands, etc I would be much appreciative. I have looked on google, at reveiws etc. But real people, real life advise is preferred. Cheers, Nick I know it has nothing to do with bimmers, but your opinions are valued (well, most of the time ).
  7. You guys couldn't be any more biased! It does look mint though

  12. ?? Someone should post a link to the petition on Eurosport.co.nz. Widen the the audience as much as possible.
  13. Touring, Sedan, Compact, Convertible, Coupe bumpers = The Same Apart from compact rear bumpers, AFAIK they're different.
  14. Good on you mate. Send a letter in to Campbell Live or Fair Go. Negative publicity owns.
  15. Didn't work for me first. But work now. Try refreshing, or opening it in another window.Looks good mate. I should have posted some pictures of my fathers 540i. When he bought it, it had just had a full front end respray and he got a Teflon coating put on. Looks absolutely magnificent, this is 3 years on and it nearly looks as good as the day it was done. Only ever uses water to wash it! They sure scrub up well
  16. Looks great mate. Really liking that E30 badge on the back! I think those side skirts look good, although the three strips on the bottom don't really match the tech IIness. But they do look good!
  17. Yea, I know. Coupe non evo = double spoke. Coupe evo = double spoke II. Sedan = Contour II Assumed he had a coupe seeing as the sedans are pretty rare.
  18. +1 I do exactly the same. Doing all that stuff reduces the chance and if your mirrors still get knocked off then you've got pretty bad luck
  19. I'd like to hear this long story. Sounds interesting. Any help?
