Selling the E36 (Updated pics and auction link in here) I've bought teh E39 back (I'm so bad at doing that) - They are so superior to E36s. Not alot done recently - Koni SA Shocks and thats about it. Go full buff and wax. I'm going to ditch the shadowchrome M5 wheels and go for Black with silver lip, black out window trim, black out grill. TEH DARKNESS.

I guess so - it fit my 96 323i with dual airbags.

Lies - If you in Auckland contact Gavin Bellars @ Hi Velocity - he can retune factory ECUs with pretty decent results. It wouldn't be unusally to get 20 odd hp after modifing a stock ecu map. Would be interested to know why you think it isn't up to its normal power - E38 740s are not quick cars so don't expect something it isn't because it is a V8.

Flick us your portfolio and I can toss it on to some people Chris.

Trade Me Auction going again (change of plans) Reserve is still 8k - someone will get a steal.

The main problem I'm feeling is the different rates of thermal expansion. The panel gaps would have to be huge or the doors wouldn't open on hot days.
-
Just a thought for someone who knows about this kind of stuff; Surely it can't be that hard to make a mold from an existing panel and make some REALLY light plastic panels? I'm thinking (E30) front guards - bonnets, boots. If anyone works in that industry - flick me an email.

The last BMW M3 CSL weight just 1,385kg with a power-to-weight ratio of 3.85 kg/bhp. The lightweight successful M3 CSL carried a 343 horsepower engine and was stripped of basically every practical needs (see video below). Due to the success of the previous M3 CSL, Gerhard Richter, vice president of the M division, has confirmed with InsideLine that BMW will continue producing the M3 CSL in every upcoming version of the M3. “The last M3 CSL was very successful and fun to drive. From now on, there will always be a CSL version of the M3.†Top Gear’s review of previous BMW M3 CSL.

I miss Dan - where he at!

It's not for everyone - but you could cut the front of the gearbox off and weld it back on at the correct angle. I did this with my 318iS turbo and the gearbox has taken the punishment of quite a lot of power etc etc. Obviously the bellhousing to input shaft relationship needs to remain perfect so I'd recommend a machine shop does it. OR bend the gearlever. Failing that - try find the M50 ZF 5spd box and use that.
-
Likewise - used some of the facelift angle eye units and got awesome light output.

Hot cars - I love the turbine wheels.
