    M325i vs SR20DET.

I have found the wheels I want. Without the Red strip though haha. 4x100, 16in by 8 in, big brake clearance and 57.1 hub! And cheap, well the shipping won't be ahaa. http://www.esmwheels.com/Wheel_032.html

    News just in!

OUCH. Send it to Spoon and get a 10k RPM kit and Vtec installed, then you can GET SOME KILL STORIES! Seriously, bad luck man..
  4. Hahaha I love it! GT4 certainly stole a lot of my life in 2007. Finished it, with all license golds, then played again and A speced most of it (only a couple of the endurance races I B specced) Now I've lost the disk.. Real driving is much more fun! GT5 looks like it's going to be in a class of it's own.. Haha anyway, sell some stuff. God knows I don't need anymore sh*t.
  5. Just to let you know that the 75D hardness (Acetel/Delrin) is ridiculous in traffic and at idle. Everything vibrates like crazy.. But hell shifting is tight.
  6. Oh wow so close! Yeah you sure do have a monster heat source there, maybe duct some air up with some piping?
  7. That was amazing!!! Wrong thread bolts they reckon.. Just crazy. Here's a classic, Ex-F1 driver.
  8. I have over 550 hours on GTA:SA, clocked 100% twice. Only took a year! That is all.
  9. I honestly get really hot and bothered (read: f**ked off) when I read youtube comments. Another car related tool!

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Yeah, not too shakey eh Jono! I think I will secure it a little better next time, the camera flew off on the way back through the corners.. And Jimmy, that was the next upgrade for sure! The E30 rack sure does teach you how to get fast arms though. I was thinking a E36 rack or this, giving a 2 turn lock to lock rack: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/SMALL-BODY-2...KENER,8280.html I'm a massive fan of quick racks like that, go carts, and the formula ford I drove really showed that I could keep it in control, even with less precision. Would not let any one else drive my car in spirited form without a bit of practise, would steer straight off the inside of the corner ahaa.
  11. That's rad! Is this what you do for a living James?

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Haha yeah they seemed to have taken the streetview pics during the big snow of 06, at the moment there is no snow up there, but still nice a slippery ha.
  13. That's way too fancy for this thread

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Haha nah, this is just the road behind Chch airport. 4 bumpy ass corners, before I did all this work on my car I couldn't go near that quick, the wheels didn't stay on the road ahaa. This is the Summit Rd http://maps.google.co.nz/maps?f=q&sour...=13&iwloc=D
  15. I'm reading that people have simple keyrings.... Bah! This is simple, any bigger and my leg gets toally owned when I fall off the longboard.

    M325i vs SR20DET.

So my main goal in life at the moment is to make an amazing Summit Rd video. So I tested out mounting a camera to the passenger seat yesterday. Duct tape for the win hahaha! So I made this wee corner thrash vid for you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcTAn-9Nqvw
  17. Was around 1500 NZD or so for Sammy.
  18. Would even need to go that far. Just need a cylindrical bit of material, about 60mm diamater, 40mm high and with a hole drilled in the centre that's slightly bigger than a 17mm bolt shaft. Done.
  19. It's Delrin, as the post says, rated on the hardness scale at 75D. http://www.akgmotorsport.com/e30products.html
  20. Just put my very solid mounts in, review >here<!

    M325i vs SR20DET.

UPDATE WOW!!!!111!!1 Just put the delrin engine mounts in. Such an easy job. The hardest part is jacking up the car. So then you jack up the engine via the oil pan, with a 4inch thick sponge between therm to spread the weight. (I hear doing this cracks the pan gasket, sniff sniff) Getting a standard socket over the tall bolts on the old mounts is hard too, you slip the socket over, then have the ratchet only halfway in the socket, and keep the pressure applied or you will loose your nuckle skin when it pops out. Or just use a deep socket.. New mounts went in much easier. The instant I cranked the car I noticed the difference. A nice vibration at idle, if you let the revs dip below idle, (<600) what seems to the be resonant frequency of the entire dashboard is found! What a noise... No vibration above 1000 rpm, this engine is a smooth 6 remember. Shifts are much more direct, much more in the lower gears especially. Launches are smooth and beautiful, car drops all the power to the wheels and pulls away at a slight angle with 2 nice parallels. Engine also seems louder, transferring more noise vibration to the chassis, it's nice.
  22. Hahaa love it, great stuff Nath. Glad the LSD is treating you right, holding you all night and making you eggs on toast in the morning.
  23. Just the the few corners before the dipper has been replaced. Was only a few months ago too.
  24. From what I've read you can get away with solid engine mounts no worries (I'm going to put mine in today (delrin however), will let you know what it's like) . But not even track guys run solid gearbox mounts, that's where all the noise and vibration comes from.
