Suspentional fortitude is a great set of words. There won't be too much stacking ha, I would be gutted, the subframe took so long to paint ahaaha

Exactly what i was about to type up Riley, they are great pieces. And we shall see about the rear springs, I don't intend to be sacking my car, I like my diff and oil pan in 1 piece ahaa. And yes hybrid, I will enjoy. I'll be dialing in max camber and max castor, with less tire pressure. More grip will ensue. Wait for the pics of summit rd thrashing.... There will be sideways. EXAMS ARE OVER! (650ml beer times 4)

I intend to be steering NOT WITH THE STEERING WHEEL, but with the throttle, correctly modulated and controlled of course, AND NO HANDS! ahahaha. *You rock Nathan, you'll do the same thing one day I know it.
-
Hahaha yes that is indeed one way to do it. You won't be heading to the warrant monkeys will you? Ahh the freedom of that. The speed these shocks retract on full firm vs full soft is amazing. Can't wait to hit the track!

The 3 reds BMW makes always come up AMAZING after a cut and polish, well done.

A guy I should be flatting with soon is buying one woot, just a Mig but a nice mig. Can't wait to reinforce some rear sway bar tabs 1499 american dollars, roughly 2400 2 weeks ago, now its almost 2300. Added up getting similar bits from NZ and it was over 3g, So I'm happy ahaaa (DCH motorsport wanted 1000 dollars for camber plates, I told them to check this out http://www.ground-control-store.com/produc...tegory.php/CA=8 ) Oh here's a good picture of why these plates are the uber sh*t. So much castor can be attained. High speed handling and the abilitly to run less static camber for straight line braking and tire wear will be maximised. (more caster = more camber when turning, for the noobies)

HB mans, buy yourself an E30

You are still worthy, only if you wash it and then nail some curves. I love the coolant light. Will always have one, maybe fit a buzzer to it as well...
-
Excellent. Don't forget you can rotate the whole sliding piece 180 degrees in case things are getting in the way. It was probably the right way round though aha, smart GC people. I have this damn kit sitting in front of me, it's so teasing. Need it to be monday so MPL are open for welding gah!

I like to live dangerously. In fact, my middle names are Fire Danger Extreme. Thanks for all that Cam, it wasn't book length heh, but good advice. I love experienced people. From what I've read and seen over the past 2 years of research, and the fact that I have 50mm longer springs than 'stock' GC already, I will not be cutting the strut. And will be welding the perch on where it sits when the perch and height adjuster sits on the strut, and then turned upside down, to make the top of the adjuster level and parallel with the top of the strut. Tacked in place and welded with not too much amperage as not to bead up the inner of the tube, which negates shock insert entry. And that's my internet based knowledge spewed into this thread. As you were. Drink is ON.

Perch be gone! I'll link this photo. 10 seconds at f/9 iso 100. Self timed ahaa.
-
I was going to post that link! It's a good idea really, can be done. I'd weld it though. Don't know why they talk about locktighting it in, jeeezus dodgy.
-
Ahh yes thanks, was trying to search for those pics last night, I knew I'd seen them before. Looks good, can definitly see the extra lenght my springs have. Are you certed/warranted with it? That wasn't a high priority when I decided on this set up.

After researching a e30 setup for 2 years I came up with 350f/550r. Its a great ratio for balance and not too hard for Targa style duty. I have no experience with adjustable suspension ahaa! was just going to play the full soft drive full hard drive front soft rear hard drive vice versa game until balance was found. You have the same kit yes? How many turns from full stiff are you thinking? *oh and this ones for Jonathan too, did you shorten the front struts or did you just get the perch welded on top of the old spring perch bead?
-
Straight cut! That's awesome, you'll be able to throw it up gears with a quick lift off of the throttle, and the noise will be dreamy. UBER
-
Ahhh cool, thanks for the heads up Cam. I'll fish out some of my imperial stuff from the bottom of the dusty box in the roof of garage underneath the 8 track player. Ahaha.
-
Yeah I did get the custom valving. I know now the order took a couple of weeks to send because of my longer special order springs, which is ok. I hear fantastic things about the custom matched valving, things like you just said, so can't wait to scrape the Tech1 on some cliff roads ahaa
-
I'll trade you my awesome fun project for yours????? Get one of these kits for your S50 build. Will have full, detailed report once I've thrashed the summit rd with it.
-
A box greeted me.. A mess was made.. Hells yes. The whole kit. Test fit, lowest height. Wound right up. Going to have about 3-4 inches of wheel travel. Excellent. Perfect balance will be attained. Front mock up. All there has to be done now to get it on the ground again is: Half Shafts gunned up. (Untill I can get the car down again and torque the nuts) Cut the spring perch off and weld the new perch on the bead of the old perch. Won't be shortening the housings yet. Oh, and install all these new bits. Might have a chilly head untill the sunfoof gets capped though ahaa. Jealous?

It's here It's here It's here It's here It's here It's here It's here It's here It's here I'm giddy. This is amazing gear. The quality, the design, the colours. So many bits to play with. Pics soonish

I use a big fat bolt as a clutch stop, makes for audible disengagement of clutch, good for spirited driving.

CRT and Farmlands sponsored. Should have asked them for some race car building money while I worked for them for 2 years! Awesome car.

Will be going nail polish shopping tomorrow
