Anyone had any experience with slip on spacers from repco? Illegal eh? My 16x7.5 ac schnitzers don't clear the calipers on the front! Et22 should fit shouldn't it? '89 e30

Used my shopping basket and cut down a huge tree. Also put my new wheels on, but the fronts don't bloody fit! Need spacers.

Wheels arrived yesterday (cheers member MASH) so got to work on the DIY refurb featuring beers. Hopefully have them tidy enough to get them on this weekend.

A buddy of mine has some Joms in his mk2 jetta, says they are all good! I could be keen to go in for a set for the touring.

Spotted a few cool ae86's and mk1 escorts at the Canterbury Rally this weekend. Heres a few photos I took. No e30's tho

I like it, looks cool! I made my own fairing, put a build thread up on here somewhere - pretty simple with some perspex and some ghetto custom brackets from bunnings. Love the red Thule foam rack cover things!

I've just replaced my thermostat thinking my old one was bung because I would only ever hit 'normal' temperature when sitting in traffic, otherwise I hover around medium cold. But my new one is no better! FFS I get 400-450k max from a tank which is a 50/50 mixture of town and country, I'll be interested how your replacing sensors on the gauge and the ECU works out.

Love the mk2's! Looking forward to seeing your e30 judging by your effort on your last couple of cars!

Your car is seriously awesome. I really dig the 3rd pic.

Probably not worthy but thought id chuck this up anyway. A bit of work to remove the numbers, that oil stain and the trees and it could be alright!

Got it back from getting its shaft snipped. Turns out its got an e36 gearbox , which is why the e30 driveshaft didn't fit. Smooth as now, love it! No more chewed couplings!

Nice. Get those pipes up bosozoku style! Haha

Hell yeah, looks tough!

Bump. Did e30 autos come with a different length driveshaft than a manual?

Recently I've had a shuddering / viabration feeling coming from the rear of the car under acceleration from a standstill in 1st gear which stops when I get upto speed. Also happens if I take off in second but to a lesser degree (was testing it). I've done some reading and figured its the centre bearing on the driveshaft. Will it get worse and fail completely over time or just continue to be annoying? When I had my coupling/guibo replaced a few months back I was told my driveshaft is a few mm too long from when the engine and gearbox were swapped out, which is putting pressure on these parts at the rear end. I figure when I get this centre bearing replaced I will get the driveshaft shortened. Anyone in Chch who can suggest a good place to get this done? I've had some work done on the car by DCH motorsport which I was happy with but its so damn far away from my work its a mega bain. Or maybe I'm just lazy. Any advice is appreciated! *wtb: centre bearing if I'm right.

I'll take the new fuel filter if it'l work on a '89 e30 325i? And if you'll consider sending it to Chch? Cheers!

Awesome! Must not be many of these around? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-490034806.htm

Yeah those Borbets are nice! If you ever want to get some new wheels, sell those to me! Interior looks good. Congrats

All the haters on the French tint! Could be super nice against that colour! I use vinyl so it's on and off as I please, but I do agree, awesome looking touring as is. Congrats!
