Haha nice buy Dave! 135i wheels really suit the hatches, I'm a fan.

Expanding family...

Haha nope.. I actually went to test drive the X2 M35i and wasn't a fan at all. It's between the new C class and 3 series at this stage

Sold the 135i..sad sad day. Now to buy a boring 'family' car.

I was going to grab a set to try but the website said they weren't doing orders at the moment? Might go back to my usual Bosch Aerotwins (which are fantastic)

If they're anything like the mk6 gti's, brilliant car. Got one for the wife about 5 years ago and it's been smooth sailing. Loads of fun, reliable and excellent on fuel. All I've done is regular services, dsg fluid and filter and plugs and coils.

Was meaning in terms of comfort too not just performance, of course the PS4's are a far superior Tyre performance wise. The re050a's made the car feel crashy over uneven surfaces. Noticed a huge difference in comfort immediately and that was enough for me to be convinced.

I made the change from factory Bridgestone rft's on my 135i to PS4's and it was a night and day difference

Great to meet you Dave, and good to finally see the car in person. Extremely jealous of all the goodies you scored with it!
Keen to get your thoughts once you get the alignment all dialed in too

I don't think there'll be many replacing clutches on these at stock power levels, they do last a long time being a wet clutch system.
Perhaps contact Dodson for a quote? Pretty sure they do them

Agreed
My 135i (albeit n55 motor) has been way more reliable than all of my old DC2 Integra type r's haha. 3.5 years ownership now and I've only had 1 weeping o-ring on a sensor.

A 130i with some $$ to spare for a decent LSD would be the sweet spot for that sort of money in my opinion

Awesome, ready for the track out of the box this time!

Necessary? No. Good idea? No.
Ahh ?

I wonder how much a new motor would be for one of these... A little scary that quite a few have bent rods even on stock power levels. Torque monsters for sure!

Are the spark plugs done up properly?

So important for everyone to play their part in this. Wife's a GP and it's so crazy hearing about how lightly some are taking this.

This. 100%. Coming from a DCT owner. The zf8 is truly great, would not be one bit disappointed if I had that instead of the DCT.

Oh man... Would love that in the 135i

Still isn't too bad considering its 13 years old now..

Yep... I actually drove one recently after seeing all the hype here. Great cars and I definitely see the appeal but not comparable to the n54/55. Jumping back into my 135i after, there was a night and day difference.
From a reliability point of view I definitely see the merits of a 130i. In saying that, my n55 has been faultless in 3 years of ownership with regular maintenance. But I understand the potential for higher cost repairs with the turbo motors.

Yeah I'd potentially be keen

Looks to me like the cap has given up, how does the seal look underneath? You'd be surprised how far the stuff sprays under pressure.
What'd you do to your BMW today?

Most definitely, incredible how well this thing handles. And the tech just blows my mind... I haven't even touched the surface, will take some time getting my head around all of it for sure
