  1. If it arrives with mph only, you can buy replacement dials pretty cheaply on ebay that have both. It's a straight swap I believe.
  2. I had to replace the same thing on my E39. From memory it was part 3 on this diagram, called a Centre engine compartment closing panel: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=51&fg=80 Should be able to find the equivalent for your car, try here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?mode...hg=51&fg=70
  3. Most UK cars have mph and kph on the speedo already, like this:
  4. Spotted this 2002 tii on Great North Road, close to the Ponsonby Rd junction over the weekend. The driver probably thought I was nuts with my phone pressed to the windscreen!! Looked in great nick but I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the whole car. Does it belong to anyone on here? Choice.
  5. One of a kind is right.
  6. Yep, huff3r is correct. Give way sign means give way to all. If there is a "no u-turns" sign then A should only go straight over. If they u turn and there's a crash it would be A's fault. No "no u-turn" sign, A definitely has right of way.
  7. Thanks Garett. I'll get a quote to tidy them up and get back to you about the swap. Cheers

    Mind blowing

Would have loved to see it in Venice but I'll settle for Christchurch.
  9. What condition are they in? Got any photos?
  10. That with your band? They love their drum n bass over there! My bro's been playing in Germany for years with Coldcut and the VJamm Allstars.

    Mind blowing

Christchurch Art Gallery is one of my clients... If you're in Christchurch or going there in July try and get to this: http://christchurchartgallery.org.nz/exhib...-michael-parek/ Michael's work is absolutely mind-bogglingly cool and this exhibition is the work he represented NZ with at the Venice Biennale last year. I'm heading down to see it in a couple of weeks. Good to support the gallery's activity while they wait for news on reopening their main building too.
  12. Thanks, I might chance it then!
  13. Definitely the 'dished' ones that I like. Got any pics of your wife's car with them on?
  14. Sprayed some carbon cleaner on the fuel rail and engine revs higher when cold, suggesting poor seals on the injectors. I've got a recon kit with new o rings, etc. There are some good DIYs online like this one - http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=571302 Seems reasonably straightforward but wondering if I'm biting off more than I can chew as a reasonably practical but totally inexperienced hobbyist. Anyone done this or know if it's easy/difficult? Or what it might cost if I pay someone to do it!
  15. I know! Shame I've got no garage, live on a busy street with a cat that likes to climb all over it, or it might stay looking like that!
  16. Just the front bumper but had to get some pro help as it was a bit of mission. Kept the original rear bumper and skirt with the tail pipe pointing down and hidden, which I prefer to the Msport one.The wheels are genuine BBS aftermarket (not sure which?) and look great in the pics but badly in need of rejuve. Sadly, that might be more expensive and harder than I'd like.
  17. Thanks. Looked on there before and couldn't find them... Blind!
  18. I agree but sadly they are pretty rough close up and the quotes I've had to repair are astronomical and potentially impossible (apparently the titanium BBS bolts often thread so can be a nightmare to remove and even harder to replace). Saw this pic of an E39 with the E60 M5 wheels - looks better than most.
  19. I've seen an E39 with what looked like these E60 M5 wheels fitted: I'm not really sure how to check if they would they fit my 1996 E39? If they would fit, does anyone have a set they would sell (or swap for my BBS wheels)?!
  20. Followed (most of) this guide this weekend and the results are excellent... Shiny!
  21. Look on ebay.co.uk rather than .com. I've found some good cheap suppliers for parts on there and all RHD, of course!
  22. Clay bar, and if that doesn't work you could use a cutting compound.
