Finally managed to get the car washed after the roadtrip down from Auckland.

With some reluctance I've put the 328 up for sale on TM - well until I take the 540 for a blat Clicky

I'm starting to get excited - I can feel an install coming on Intravee has arrived, just seen that my DICE ADC is in Auckland (I love track and trace) so should be in Invercargill by the time I get back from Wellington...

If you have PDC do you need to drill holes in these bumpers to refit sensors? I see on the DDM website their was PDC option so maybe the sensors come pre-installed?

It's great having people buying these cars so they work their way down the food chain. I've bought a couple of new cars (Nissan 200sx and a SP23 Mazda3) it is very nice having that new car smell and spec'd out how you want... I guess you just ignore the depreciation! I guess if it's a problem you keep the car for longer so the pain isn't so bad. I'm loving liberating Auckland cars and bringing them down south to spend the rest of their lives on Southern roads

I was just looking on TM and there's a '96 540i with an original sale price of $157K! Now going for $12k. So that means its lost $145K over 12 years or $12 000 per year - ouch... Anyway does anyone know how to find out NZ sale price of our cars when they were new??

I'm currently going through withdrawl the 540i has the seats out and they are getting a makeover. Takes 5 days, leather is being cleaned, redyed (black) and then made all nice and soft again. The 540 is 8 years old and the seats were looking tired and white scuff areas on some seams, there are no cracks yet. Thought a bit oflove now will see them looking great for another 8 years. So I'm looking forward to reporting back how they come up and what it cost...

I've only had the 540 for 10 days but I love so many things about it: 1. How it looks GRRRRR 2. How it sounds GRRRRR burble burble 3. All the buttons 4. How it goes round corners 5. How it passes other cars "crap how can I be going that fast so soon!" 6.How planted on the planet it feels. 7. How it cruises so effortlessly. 8. I drove it from Auckland to Invercargill and I want to do it again! 9. It's black 10. It's a V8 My 328i coupe is pretty much the same - got to love a straight 6 too

No worries I just went into a Vodafone store and asked for a Super Prepay and $35 later I had my sim card (leave it in the credit card sized card holder -as this is what fits in the sim reader) The slot by the handset didn't seem to work so placed it in the unit in the boot (LHS above CD changer) and all's fine.Then you can just do a prepay top up. Me again! Handsfree is working fine and I can use the handset for dialing and all the buttons work. But when I goes from handsfree and try and use the handset I can just hear the voice with the volume turned to max. Once again I seek the wisdom of the forum... Thanks again

Hi Tristan Just had this same delemma, what to do? I have just got a NZ new 540i Motorsport with TV, Sunroof and Leather - it' a 2000 and V8 - so far the fuel consumption isn't too bad - especially on the open road, and did a mention it's a V8! Also full service history (had 120Km on it) I got it for $16K at Turners. I was looking for a 530i Motorsport there are some bargains out there I missed out on a 2000 NZ new that went for $14K at Turners (it had all the good stuff on it too) someone is trying to sell it for $22K on TM. It had 85Km. So I'd recommend being patient and keep an eye on Turners in particular, but there are also some bargain Jap imports on Trademe if the history isn't an issue. Tim

I've ordered an Intravee II and got a Alpine KCA-420i Ipod Interface, but looks like I have the DSP coaxial. Does anyone know where to get a Analog to Digital converter thats compatible with this setup locally or is there something online. Thanks in advance
