agreed. only takes me a few min's to get used to LHD and after that it's a piece of cake. Only really have to be a bit more careful overtaking. Laurence

I suspect he has not had it fixed as there are a few requirements: If the car has not been registered in New Zealand before it will require a full compliance check. Just for repairing the rust it will require a repair certification ($500 fee) from a registered repair certifier. They will need to see the car before the repairs are done, and again before the work is painted over. You will also need to pay for the inspection itself ($500 fee) + any other work it requires. Quite a nice M3 for sale.. wondering if maybe he already had a LHD registered in his name, hence he cannot register a 2nd LHD car?? Otherwise I'll bet there is something that needs doing to it before it can be road registered like structural rust etc. If I was going to sell an M3 I would have it registered, guaranteed to get more $$ Has anyone spoken to the seller to get more info? are there going to be off-set times for turbo'd cars?? Similar to the Intermarque Series run by The Surgery or will it be anything goes in terms of engines etc as long as the car is under $700?? Laurence

CamB wheels are from my M3 but they do look stunning on the Cab I'd be hard pushed to let them go though, lol It's an amazing car with all the restoration work thats gone into it.. Once you go for a ride in it you realise how well built it is. Will be sad to see it go. Laurence

it seems like every month there is an increase in the cost of buying a P.Plate. I remember when Dad bought his P.Plate years ago.. Only cost him $300-$400 I think.. Now they are $800ish for a euro. Would be interested to know the 'actual cost' to the business to create the plate, and how much of the fee is profit. Laurence

They just gave me no reasonable justification as to why it was so high. Maybe $10 or $20 I could understand as someone has to do some work and send the email, but $60 was just too much. Laurence

A while ago I was given a plate as a b.day gift and I thought I would call up to get my plate made today. I Called the company that make them. Hi, I'd like to get my plate made please. "Yes we can do that for you, what is the plate you would like to have made?", It hasn't been printed yet, its [******], can I change it to a Euro Black Plate from Euro Blue? "Sure, we will need an email from Plates because we show it as a Blue Plate and the email is our paper trail to confirm the order, if they send that through we can make it straight away" Called P.Plates. Hi, I have a plate I would like to print but the company needs an email to confirm the change from Euro Blue to Euro Black.. "Sure we can do that for you, whats the plate?? there is also a fee of $60 to change the colour" Sorry, what?? "There is an admin fee of $60 to change it to Euro Black from Euro Blue" But all they need is an email from you.. it hasn't been printed yet etc etc "I realise but we run a business and there are fee's involved. If it was already printed it would cost you $299" Yes but it hasn't been printed and they only need an email. and you want to charge me $60 to email them?? It went on like this for a few more mins, the lady checked with her boss and still nothing.. In the end I hung up on them as I thought it was pretty rude to charge me $60 on top of the $800ish it already costs to buy the plate. And they never gave warning of extra fee's to change the colour but have the same style. Just before I hung up I pointed out how many plates I had bought from them in the past. Admittedly they came back within 2mins and they confirmed they would not charge me as a "special appreciation for being a long term customer" but I still found it rude to begin with given i had no warning about the fee when I first got the plate, otherwise I would have changed it to start with. I would totally understand if I had the plate printed as it needs to be re-created and that is more work.. But it was sitting as a template in their system and all they have to do is take a Black Plate and put it in the press. BTW there is a 90 day period where you can change it for free, after that they charge $60. Just venting now, but I feel so much better Has this happened to anyone else?? Laurence

Sorry the vids are so short guys.. The dyno room was SO loud, from the massive fan (that cools the engine) and the engine itself, that it was shutting the video recorder down because it was too loud for it! They also fail to tell you to wear 5 jerseys as well, f**k it gets cold standing in there for 30mins! I plan on getting a good roady vid when I go up to Taupo at the end of August, along with some track time vids Laurence

Update. Had a problem with the TPS and it turned out it needed replacing. Here is the dyno plot for the M3 Bottom line was with the old TPS sensor, top line was with the new sensor fitted and a few adjustments to get the afr's correct etc Just needs a road tune to get 5%-10% throttle mapped (have to wait till it's road legal though) Figures at the Wheels 210.4Hp @ 7132rpm's - 122mph 180fp's @ 5305rpm's - 91mph 4.1:1 gear ratio, ECU electronically limited to 7800rpm's but I won't be taking it that high in a hurry Laurence

Hey guys, Digging around the garage and I found my 6"x9" Pioneer speakers that I had in my old BMW. They are still in good condition and I can ship them from Welly if needed. Pioneer 6" x 9" coaxial 4-way 350w(max)/80w(rms) model: TS-A6980S Trademe has them priced at $100 pair. I'll take $50 for them (Mine are identical to these, I don't have my camera working so pulled this pic from the net) Laurence

have put a full set of Toyto R888's on my M3 but i'm having a few problems with the front's rubbing on full lock. the very edge of the tyres is catching the inner guard so it seems the tyres are too wide compared to the stock rims it used to have. Rims are 17x8.5 and I'm running 235/40/17 all way round. stock rim size 205/55/15 on 7"s I'm contemplating changing from 235/40/17 to a 215/45/17 to reduce the 'width' and 'height' of the sidewall & overall size of the tyre.. Just curious to know if there will be any major problems running 235/40/17 on the rear and 215/45/17 on the front with all rims the same size. Laurence
