Right.. So i was talking to Personalised Plates the other day and I can either have my personalised plate manufactured as a Blue or Black Europlate. BTW the car is Diamondschwartz. I wondered how many people with personalised plates have the Blue Europlates and how many have Black. The personalised plates rep told me Blue was more popular, but maybe this is because it has been around longer?? Thought I would start a poll.. Even if you don't have a Europlate post up which you would prefer.. And what colour car it would go on BTW. Which would look better with a Diamondschwartz M3? Laurence

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-209952298.htm Dad is interested in this.. I have no idea about the e34 and what to look out for, problems etc?? Does it look like a good deal?? it seems to have ok km's but then again when do they tend to need a re-fresh/re-build? Laurence

I imported my e30 M3 from Japan about 3yrs ago. PM me if you would like. Laurence

Looks like you did a pretty good job.. and agreed, the car does have a better feel about it when areas like door jams are cleaned properly.. It sucks when you have to pull seats out to get into the 'problem spots' to pick up all the dust and stuff left on the floor.. Bonus for me is I always find some form of money on the car floor every time I give it a proper clean.. Always end up about $3-$5 richer Laurence

Head Unit - What to choose?
Old_Skool_Bmw replied to Old_Skool_Bmw's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
I'm not too fussed about DVD screens etc.. I'm after a good quality head unit as I will be running 3-way DLS speakers up front. Didn't want to run good quality speakers with average head unit. Laurencecv -

sorry, forgot to put that in. Would be looking to spend somewhere between $500-$900. Laurence -
Hey guys. I'm looking for a good quality single-din CD or DVD head unit and looking at all options. What are you guys running? how does it compare? etc I've only had double-din DVD units for the last year so i'm a little slow on what good single-din stuff is out there at the moment. Cheers, Laurence

have a friend looking at this and wondering what your thoughts are on price etc?? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-205883058.htm Laurence

as the other guys said, quite hard to get. I had to wait over a year to buy them because he doesn't do many sets. Well worth the wait though. Laurence

So what have you done to the car since you bought it, got the last WOF?? Not trying to be rude or anything, it's just way too hard to see any detail of your car from the small avatar pic Laurence
-
Are you claiming on insurance or are you just getting work done and want to make sure the work will be covered in the future?? What work re you having done? Page European would be my 1st choice but as you said they aren't an auth'd repairer. Powerhaus will be in the same $$ range as jeff gray, maybe a bit more expensive. Laurence

Was this before or after the wheels, suspension were changed on the car??? Remember that a WOF only really means that the car was up to standard on the day it was checked. If you change suspension, tyres, wheels etc after the WOF was issued it doesn't mean you're car is still legal until the WOF runs out. Laurence

can sell you 2 x 1000d if you cant find a 3000d Laurence
-
yep, has an internal fuse/shut-off but definately best to fit an external fuse (extra protection). My 1000d kept shutting off when i first did my install, found out it was a shitty ground and the amp wasn't getting getting enough power to keep it going with big base. Laurence

Congrats on having the baby!! LOL you sure it wasn't the driving with EDC on that made your partner start to have contractions Would be interesting though, they just had an article in the paper on baby names for babies born in cars etc, some lady called her baby micar. Not too sure what you could have named your little one had it been born in the back seat Laurence -
have to have at least 20 yrs between the first date of registration and the date you bring the car into NZ. EG. car registered in 1988 would have to be brought into NZ in 2008 or after. Laurence

E30 M3 Track Day Weapon on Pistonheads.
Old_Skool_Bmw replied to mr E34's topic in TradeMe discussions
have done this on my M3 and yes AFM needs to be ditched. Need to run a piggy-back system, On mine I went with MoTeC instead of Alpha-N as there are a few more things I will be able to tune, do with the MoTeC. Laurence -
Sweeet!! going from NA to FI Willie, was your e30 M3 a standard 2.3L engine? or had it had some mods done to it? Laurence
-
agreed, there's no way you could let that become a track car.. Really want to get a beat up e30 M3 that you can strip down and 'cage'. Laurence
-
So are you doing a swap kind of thing? Laurence
-
Very nice!!! Shame you have to sell it Laurence
