  1. I must agree not only with some of the european clips but also some clips from the states (Cheesy). I remember making a clip on one of my old cars and posting it on a forum, the flaiming I got for it lol never again will I do it... well atleast when the car is in action nothing worse than not being able to hear the nice tune of a descent car
  2. Yea music wrecks videos eh, but yea love the car and i thought they had done a pretty good job of the video composure haha
  3. Damn that Volvo is mad. Good smoke machine!
  4. Yea I agree bravo you have too like what you are watching That boost idea is definitely interesting...
  5. Dunno if anyones seen or posted this link before but i must share it, one of the nicest looking/sounding E30's ive seen: Enjoy
  6. Ah I see. Umm I was thinking about but a few people have told me that the standard torque yield bolts should be fine...
  7. That XJ6 S2 is so mint! Especially with those simmons wheels. The look/style of the Jaguars never really appealed to me but seeing a few tidy examples like above could bring me to appreciate them more. Your not wrong about the wheels on the XJS Greg... then again look at the wheels on the XJ220 lol!
  8. Aw what a pity Mike. Atleast you had your fun right! Cant wait too see what you have in store for us in the future. Next time im down your way as my sis lives in Welly ill try make the effort to drop in providing my project is all go haha! Luke
  9. I see, so should really get the block profesionally decked also? Thanks Marty! Forgot about them, I think Rach at NZ Gaskets metioned that a few weeks back will def look into that! Cheers, Luke
  10. Yea man I would be using copper spray as a precaution, we have it at work so thats convenient. Most people recomend having the head decked and atleast cleaning and giving the block a very careful/light finish which id use some emry tape.
  11. Hows the car going Mike? You gone to a front mount setup yet? Let me know if you still want pics of my front mount setup dude. Luke
  12. Yea thats what I have concluded. The head will be decked, I saw a certain grade of roughness in one of the posts that it needs to be for Cometic gaskets. Alot of the guys have cleaned the block face and sanded it with fine grit sandpaper and had no problems. Only issue I saw pop up on other forums was the gasket leaking a small amount of oil by the timing cover with some of the guys on there. Man those gaskets arnt cheap! Especially with the exchange rate
  13. Whats your project Incary? Hmmm so still run a MLS gasket at stock thickness (0.070 i believe) I have an elring factory style headgasket spare would that be ok or even leaving my current headgasket in? Id ultimately rather put a MLS 0.140" cometic gasket in after reading up on BimmerForums but damn its expensive after the currency conversion and freight...
  14. Yea thats what I gather Ollie, im going to loose power off boost around town etc arent I the thicker I go? Cheers bro I will PM him
  15. Cheers man. Yea damn it would have been nice if she sat straight aye. I still mite address that yet. Yea man lovin it aye thanks bro. I will keep yas updated with pics etc once i get the exhaust made hopefully, gonna pull head off soon and put a thicker MLS headgastket in. Im unsure of what thickness I go with, I guess it depends on what kind of power i want to get out of her? Anyone know much down this alley? What I should go for? Cheers, Luke
  16. Thanks guys. Man its taken ages to get this far but getting there. Went to town last night and caught up with a fellow who used to own a performance shop here. Hes a good customer of mine now buys alot of car parts off me. Showed him some images of my car on my phone and he was very impressed. Then he got talking about how he used to have and E36 and had a spare 5 speed gearbox sitting down the coast. I asked him how much he wanted for it and he just said I could have it! Heres hoping its a ZF 5 speed!!
  17. Cheers bro! Not bad aye be better when it has an exhaust and can actually hear the true sound of it. I'd definitely go towards M50/M52 or even M54 if I were you
  18. haha crack up eh! Chea bud Yea lol i forget myself and not really gonna realise how big it actually is till i try to get traction down the road lol. Looks smaller though with all the intercooler hose and filter etc attached up. HAha yea sounded mint aye bro loud as!! Yeap gonna have to find away to get rid of that camber and too fit some wider tyres without them rubbing on the guards...
  19. +1 on that. The aftermarket mirrors look alot like japanese aftermarket ones you see on hondas in my opinion matt. Either way its your choice bro and whatever you do your car is gonna be a minta! B)
  20. Ahahah good call. U gonna run no exhaust styles like me haha?
  21. I know matt no need to thank me ... oh I know im just so clever ... I have found the perfect paint job for your beast Somebody shoot whoever owns that thing lol!
  22. Soooo close now Purchased my oil lines on Friday and have since made them up. I ran a -10 hose for the return and a -4 hose for the oil feed with a 1.5mm reducer in it as the roller bearing turbos do not require alot of oil. They already have a reducer built in but for added security it is advised to run the 1.5mm reducer. Had to hack and grind the manifold a little bit to get it to meet up flush with the head. Purchased new exhaust manifold studs and nuts last week to replace old and missing ones. Found some RX7 550cc injectors for $500 they are getting flow tested and new seals. When I get them I will swap my tidier intake manifold over onto the motor as it has the fitting on the underside of it plastic welded in (the fitting where the pipe from the ICV plugs into the manifold, this will stop it blowing out under boost. So all thats really left after these last few things is to build an exhaust which my mate is more than happy too help and im purchasing a MLS headgasket, still unsure on what thickness to purchase yet. Then shes in for a tune, cert, wof etc... Anyway have a perv: <--- VIDEO
  23. Woops I shoulda thought about that a lil more, my bad. Mine are also haha, the plugs are on the side.... wont be using 2JZ injectors then
  24. Yea they are pretty tough man. The whole bottom end.... pistons, crank, bearings block the works. Theres plenty of people in the states and europe running up around the 400 - 500hp mark on these motors with just a thicker hg, bigger injectors and fuel pump and descent ecu etc. But obviously if your motors tired that changes everything. That would be cool man id like to see what ya got. Im probably going to get some 2JZ-GTE injectors as they are side fed as are the M50 ones. The redtop 2JZ ones are 550cc so should be plenty for what i need. Cheers, Luke
