    Project 30

Should've told me you're selling it when I popped in on Sunday lol, would make an offer on that Volvo lip lol
  2. Have the same problem in re: the hissing push. Brakes are spongey on spirited drives etc. Don't have a mechanical knowledge but have I'm having my brakes checked out soon at the shops. Ps: had a brake hose change couple months before I bought the car.

    E30 parting out

I'm in Auckland, so if you have it then courier's the only way up.
  4. Yeah will get them bulbs from Repco, bonnet seals however are the ones that goes down the side. Got the switches and all, after a few drives the relay decided to shot out as well as the passenger side fog light :|
  5. Trying to gather bits and pieces for the car these few days, at the moment looking for engine bay bonnet seal, K8 relay for the fogs, H3 bulb for one of the fogs has gone bung, passenger side mirror. Anyone selling or knows anyone selling these please flick me a PM thanks
  6. I've done that multiple times prior to putting the carpet in so I was happy with the results and have the balls to put the carpet back in hahaha
  7. Mother nature was kind enough to give the car a full weather test last night and this morning... the car passed! I have no leaks so far, either that or there's a small one that's not enough for the carpet to damp in. But, I would safely say it's a 90% job done.
  8. All the work's been done today The carpet's gone back in, and then took out the door and pretty much the pins and the bushings on the driver's door hinge(s). It was pretty much frozen solid because of all the rust build up on the bolts. So after CRC-ing for ages, got the pins and the bushings out, cleaned them before putting them back in and then re-aligned the door, the end result (left is before and right is after): One step away from doing a manual conversion
  9. Work's started again for the year so had my hands full over the last few weeks... though most of the work on the car is almost done tho, which is a rather good feeling also retrofitted foglights from a mate too Just a couple of things, the carpet's still out and one side still needs to be water-tested - passed the first time around with minimal re-dos. So over the next whenever I'm free the carpet's going in, need a new H3 bulb for the right fogs, fog relay...

Hoonest to who working under the sun hahahaha
  11. Keen on the K8 relay for the fogs, the front seats, and the passenger side side mirror. Also the possibility of the gearbox for the manual conversion would be nice to know how much that'll cost. PM me the prices thanks
  12. Went to get the dropped drivers door checked out - needs a hinge bushing etc. changed. And I'm not sure how and why but the person told me I can fail my WOF because of the dropped door if I don't get it fixed? Wtf?
  13. Wait, packer shims meaning there's spares in the car? Or...? A bit confused here hahaha... Do you know if anyone does this? Otherwise I might have to do this myself
  14. The pins themselves are worn but I'm more into adjustments/alignments... so that would be shims no? Haven't done this before so a little bit out my range
  15. I'm looking for door hinge pins for my E30, going to re-adjust and re-align the doors. Does anyone know where I can get these? Thanks
  16. It's not aligned with the rear window frames whateveryoucall and you can actually move it (the door) up and down i.e. just feels "loose"... need a picture to explain it but yeah, it's definitely dropped Probably the pin on the hinges need tightening or what nots...
  17. Even though it does seem that all car manufacturers is forced into tightened emissions legislations, and followed them to make more sustainable cars, it's almost certainly debatable about the whole "saving the planet" thing. Not many have heard about the "efficiency paradox", but basically although cars are getting more and more sustainable it doesn't mean it will be used in a sustainable way. Putting it this way, perhaps one day you get those BMW activehybrid or something like that - people do buy them, but drive it more than they would with a normal car because it costs less to drive and fill up so there isn't much difference with using a normal car because healthier sustainable or "greener" technologies doesn't mean decrease in emissions outputs. Smaller carbon footprints and emissions, yes. But other footprints would largely increase, as there is a limit (believe it or not) to how long we can recycle and recycle - there will STILL be waste output from recycling especially recycling used batteries. To make an electric car, although they are made to be sustainable - how they are made isn't. That's just my point of view
  18. Washed the car this afternoon, which also served as a "tester" to my driver door sealing problems - the problem's quite obvious now, because the door's dropped a bit by around 1cm so there's a gap between the drainage seal and the door frames which meant that water could easily flow in and pool at the bottom and entering the footwells... Another roadblock it seems
  19. Spotted a mint and immac. as white E30 sedan rego "PK200" for a second time in a month last night near the Auckland ports, I believe the driver and I looked at each other as I was turning and corner and he was on the opposite intersection haha This pic's from the first time I spotted this about last month at Mission Bay near Kohimarama Beach... Hope he sees this post... Just wanted to tell him that he's got a mint as ride
  20. And suddenly I made them fit with my E30
