The lower front brace mounts up to 1 of the 2 bolts on either side of the control arm lollipops - nice and easy! I think these are a good brace and i have chosen this in favour over my old whiteline one. I noticed the difference after mounting it and going for a drive straight away - however all of my bushes and 99% of my suspension components are new. If you have worn bushes, sway bar links etc etc i doubt you would notice alot of difference... everything is only as good as your weakest link! my 2c...

You stated m40 e30's were slow. If you look at the e30 race series the 320i and 318i's are evenly matched. Therefore if you want to compare apples with apples (stock 320i vs stock 318i m40 - again evenly matched) you would also be saying your own 320i was slow would you not? Also a manual 318i m10 is only 1sec slower to 100kph than an auto 325i according to factory bmw figures... Thats not comparing apples with apples, however the 0-100kph times are still comparable.

Put your car on the track against a 318i m40 racecar and see which is slower.... To the best of my knowledge they were just sold in the UK as a poverty, fuel efficient pack!

Not trying to step on any toes here but i have an aap front lower brace for an e30 which i have now decided not to use if someone wants one a bit cheaper? Was fitted once and is in the wgtn region.

Supra engine with a HUGE turbo and up to 550hp @ the wheels on 20psi - he was only running 350hp @ 12psi on that day! His best time from memory was 1.21! Another mate of mine in his rx7 managed a 1.17 and was dicing with/beating the 'cheapskates' supra!! ...Its so disheartening when you make a good corner with good exit speed and your flying down the straight when a jappa with a huge hairdryer flys past you like your standing still! ...I think i need an 'M' car...

Thought i'd post up this video of the Burgundy Bruiser taking a lap or two round Manfield at last weekends Intermarque's. I managed a best time of 1.27 with my car having full interior, open diff, standard rear shocks etc etc! The car was dyno'd earlier this year with a whole 103rwkw 145rwhp. Next year my sights are set on getting down to 1.25/6, with the aid of an LSD, KONI rears and TOYO R888's... I need to say a big thanks to Paul from Interpart (#14) for all his help with various things on the car and for the handy camera work! Also thanks to Jeff G for the use of the Camera! And thanks to anyone else who has helped with, or supplied parts etc for the Burgundy Bruiser! The Video: Roll on 2010! Look forward to seeing all the Bimmersport guys out on the track!

Looks like your getting there Nath! Should be going by the end of the weekend??!! Let me know if you need anything. And you can't sell it till you've set a good time at Manfield anyway - i need to know what it's capable of!
-
Yup what Nath said - headers are awesome!!
-
+1 Speak to Paul - i have these same bushes! They work awesomely, and that includes on the track too!
-
2 words - DO IT! One of the best mods i've done by far. Everyone that i know of that has done it has nothing but good things to say!
-
Thanks all! Had a party Sat night just gone in which many many shots were consumed etc.... got quite drunk! Yeah will definatly be there Sunday Jon - went to work today(!) and also to Mr Olsens for some bday pressies for the Burgundy Bruiser! She'll be all set for Sunday! Thought for today.... Is it a bad thing that more money has been spent on the e30 by me this week than has been spent on me for my birthday?

Ultra Racing Strut Braces/Chassis braces/Sway bars
bmpower replied to AAP Imports's topic in For Sale
I took off my whiteline one and put on this one and the front felt more direct in comparison. (the whiteline seems to flex a bit) Also the rear feels tighter with the rear one installed. I think there is definatly a minor gain there with them installed when you couple that with other mods like urethane bushes, stiffer shocks, bigger sway bar etc etc. Also if anyone is interested i got a front lower brace as well which i am not going to use now - already have a bigger sway bar etc. Only fitted for 5mins. Yours for $120!! Bolts onto the two outer bolts on the lollipops. Pm me or text/call 02102777666 -
Even easier - http://www.akgmotorsport.com/e30products.html go to 'swap accessories'.

I lied in the above post - i just remember it wasn't painted but vinyl wrapped!!! lol. Comes out much better!!
-
This may help.... It was painted satin/matt black then gloss black decals applied. Looked really good in the flesh.

Welcome! Good to see another Wgtn member! Jeff Gray BMW & Page European come recommended for servicing etc. For anything suspension & brakes etc contact Paul @ Interpart in Petone - highly recommended!!!! My 2c!!

Can't wait! -
I will keep them in mind! I'm sure there will be a 2 door down the road sometime...!!
-
I know they are the same length, but if you look at the pic it looks to be coupe specific with the extra sections above the main skirt in front and behind the door - thanks for the offer of the wing but i have both lol!! Just need to decide now....!!
-
I would be keen however are they just for coupe's? Or do you have 4door skirts?
-
Tell me about it - will be very very careful!! Looking forward to the next one!!
-
Going one better - putting TechI sides on when i get round to it! Then paint the TechI rear kit, and decide on whether i go with the TechI or II rear spoiler!!
-
Burgundrot Metallic! From memory it is colour 199.

Yea i think Zender is the closest to it - not a genuine Zender front though. I must admit i do like the borbets - but it is still a racecar at the end of the day hence the reason it is on the 15x7 wheels at the moment, not the 17" schnitzer reps....
