get a broken down e30 and make him fix it
-
very cool car. Is it a euro spec car i notice the side indicator is like ours
-
interesting but thats not an m3 engine is it? doesnt have individual throttle bodies?
-
pop out the BMW badge and take off the steering wheel to make it easier. Take off the big panel that covers the top of the pedals and put your fingers up behind the little piece of black plastic thats below the cluster but above steering column and feel around for some metal thumb screws either side of the column. Its a tight fit but they should be pretty loose. take that little piece out and youve got screws that you couldnt see before. Theres like a little frame around the cluster that u can unscrew now which will reveal the screws holding the cluster in I think. You should be able to figure it out.

redrill your hubs kidding you can also mod the spindle off an e36 and use e36 hubs i think. I read it on e30tech there but have no idea if its a good idea or not the ones above me sound much more reliable.

im usually a purist but they seem a bit old for the car. i dunno both that pic and your sig look nice in different ways

wow ive never thought of that. quick google found this page: http://www.e28.de/e28.de/b/main-bilder-exoten.htm apparently they were never put into production, just custom aftermarket ones were made by a dutch company and who knows else. Check out the e28 camper at the bottom lol -
+1 Beat me to it

http://www.bolhuijo.com/airflowtest/ go down to where it says intake horn thing. Although thats an e30 it still has the trumpet. Its interesting you would feel a positive difference, is there anything else you did at the same time? Im sure there is a reason BMW's engineers put it in there in the first place.

ew thats way over the top

I dont really like the inner bit but that dish is hot
-
very cool. I wonder what kind of mods its had on the engine etc and its power.
-
if its anything like an e30 itl just be a little motor on the side of the resivour. Try taking it out and running 12v through it straight from the battery and see if it goes. But If its not like an e30 then im talking nonsense

Those headers will probaly not fit mate because of our cars being RHD and the steering column getting in the way.
-
yea i just did exactly that with a 89 325i gearbox into a 90 318i. Youve gotta change over the bellhousing and probably the plate in between the bellhousing and the gearbox that has the fittings to be able to screw in the pipes to the radiator as they were different in mine. Double check and triple check everything is the same even the shiftdown cable length as you really dont want it bolted in and realise something doesnt fit.
-
its almost always the brakelight switch above the brake pedal. Mine needs adjustment every so often.
-
do u mean the little magnet that the sensors pick up. ive got one just depends where u are
-
what ive done a few times was just let the gearbox tilt the engine down after taking the gearbox crossmember out and driveshaft and poke ur head up behind the box and u can see the all the bolts. have about 36" inches of extensions and a universal that has tape around it to stop it twisting so much that u cant get it on a bolt. Well thats on an e30 but they cant be too dissimilar since an m20 gearbox will bolt to a m50.

doesnt look like you stuck by the advice you gave in the liquor ban thread there dimebag myself, started off a bit dodgy as i got to the top of the kaimai's and pulled in to the lookout to let my friend catch up and felt my heart sink as i saw radiator fluid pouring onto the ground. Thankfully it seems i didnt put the cap on properly or something so topped it up and found the cap teetering between the airbox and the car. After that just stayed at a friends in town and drunk on the lawn.
