Finally some common sense... and you can't kill a Hilux/Surf/Prado
-
Sure... but I bet it still works out cheaper, and less hassle than a comparable BMW ( waits for smart ass replies) Also, name another manufacturer that includes parts in their service plan

Buy a Lexus... FREE Servicing up to 140km. Even if you buy it 2nd hand from a Lexus dealership you still get the free servicing. A mate just took in his RX and it came back with FOUR new Bridgestones, NEW pads, NEW rotors and it didn't cost him a cent!

There are a lot of "wheel importers" out there that don't specify the correct CB when they get wheels. I would say your wheels will either be a 73.2 or 74.1 CB. If the are 74.1 it is just a matter of fitting locating rings. If they are 73.2 you will have to get the wheels machined out to 74 and then retrofit locating rings, as you can't make rings that are .5mm thick. As mentioned above, take a wheel off and measure the centre. I am actually surprised that the guys who did the tyres didn't pick up on it straight away.

Don't worry about 3pedals.. he is just pushing his Bridgestone/Pirelli wheelbarrow.. it makes me wonder if he has a vested interest in them ... After all he is NZ's pre-eminent tyre tester Jase did ask for a daily tyre... not an out and out performance tyre. I garnered from that, that he he would want something that would last a reasonable amount of time, be quiet and offer good grip levels.. hence the recommendation of the C1S.

Also take a look at the Toyo C1S. It has been designed for European vehicles and we have been selling a lot, putting them on everything from an E55 AMG Merc through to a Mini. It suits what you are looking for perfectly as it is nice and quiet, offers great grip levels and tens to wear very well. Just remeber when you looking for prices now, they probably will not be the same in 6 months time as stock levels decrease and replensihed pricing changes. You wil probably also find they may be more expensive in 6 months time as raw materials are increasing dramatically at the moment. Personally, I think they are a better tyre than the RE001.

Hub centric rings will solve all your issues. I have replied to your Pm cheers

Genuine E46 M-Sport 18" Staggered MV2 Alloys + Tyres

It is always hard to put a value on 2nd hand goods. I would expect that you should be able to sell them anywhere between $800-$1200 depending on their condition -
Hi everyone I hope you all had a great Xmas and a fantastic New Year, and that you didn't over indulge too much! Thanks to everyone on here for their support last year. Out of interest we set up an account for Bimmersport member's so we could track how much we sold and wouldn't you know it - you guys came out on top! As a group, you were our biggest "account" for the calendar year!! We are all back on board now ready for bigger and brighter things in 2011. We have quite a few new wheels due to turn up very soon, so keep an eye out for some great new styles. I will post them up as soon as they arrive. We have also landed a great range of touring tyres in UHP sizes which are very well priced and offer exceptional value for money. These have been advertised in the sponsors sectuion of the forum. Once again, thanks for all your support, and I look forward to it continuing through out this year! Johno

I would be using the new Toyo C1S over the T1R in a 245 front and 275 rear. We have been selling a lot of them recently and all on European vehicles, evrything from E55 AMG merc through to Mini One. We are getting great feedback from our customers about them!

This is a very late reply but have you got any photos? -
Are you sure they are not 255/40/17? I didn't think Goodyear ever made a 255/45/17...

Just spotted this on Trade Me!!

BMW 1 series on 19" Staggered wheels

Run Flat rims are different to normal rims however a run flat rim will accept a standard tyre. If you do decide to change, just make sure you get a can of tyre repair (Slime, Pando or similar) to put in the boot in case you get a puncture

What kind of wheels are on this car?
zenetti replied to E36ShoppingTrolley's topic in TradeMe discussions
I just tried to check to see when we sold them. We switched to a new system over 3 years ago and they are not showing up on it. So, we must have sold them at least 3 years ago, probably closer to 4. I would say back then, they would have been sold for around $1k wheels only. Ours were not chrome, they were hyper silver (shadow chrome) with a machined lip -
Yep, 15mm 5x120 to 5x114.3 adaptors and a cert and you are away laughing!
-
They are the correct plus sizes to go to from OE spec. When we had our 16's in stock we generally ran a 7" at the front and 8" at the rear. we didn't seem to have any issues with guard rubbing. I think you may have to give your guards a light rolling at the front but the back should be ok. Perhaps other members will be able to correct me if I am wrong

As Lucan said the 19x91/2jj is the diameter and width of the wheel. It is a 19 x 9.5". To be honest I think you will struggle to fit a 9.5" wide rim under the front of an E34 and on 275's it will probably tramline and steer horribly all over the place. You can run E39 wheels on an E34 but you will need hubcentric or locating rings. We have them availabel if you need cheers Johno
