  1. Hi Ivan

Welcome to the forum, it is always nice to see more e38's on here. If you amenf your profile to include the area yopu are from we can point you in the right direction.

    cheers.

  2. Haha sweeet, that answered my question, I went to Hyper Drive in Penrose

We are in Penrose too. Next time pop you are over this way pop in and say hi. We always like any excuse to sit down , have a coffee and talk BMW's :D

BTW: i can't believe a "professional" actually suggested compressing springs  . It would be far better and probably cheaper to put in adjustables.

  3. Hi there the offset is 42 and i want to put 215 40 18z on but im wondering whether 215 35 18 wil fit on a 8 inch rim :S i could also get my guards rolled it that would help.. *i want the car to be as low as it possibly can be.*

Don't bother getting your guards rolled you don't need it. Don't go 215/35/18, use a 215/40/18. Which brand did you end up going with?

Legally you can only go to 100mm off the ground wuithout getting your car certed. U have springs here brand new with ful warranty for $399 fitted.

  4. The BIG advantage with Tomtom is that you can download map updates from the internet. Our Navamn while being very easy to use is now 3 years old and completely out of date. On new motorway sections we get "please go the nearest road". We can buy new maps on an SD card but I am sure it is about $250 so we may as well just buy a new GPS Unit. Next time I will be going to a Tomtom.

  5. <_< Thank you boys,

I was quoted $6000 for the set of 4, inc. tyres and fitting. Might have been 18inch quotation.... can't remember

Not sure if this is a good deal.:wacko:

I hope that price was for genuine wheels

Where are you located? If in Auckland you could pop in and see us, we can do 19's for around half of what you have been quoted so far.
