faulty sensor? mine does this as well but very rarely since I last topped up my coolant, others will answer better than I, but also the coolant temperature sensor possibly?? though I dont know if that would cause the computer's coolant light to come on,

cheers, my mistake about the e28 bit, its not leather, but the interior seats etc look very sporty, resembling the bucket type seats, oh and its not my dad, its a mates step dad, this car has been sitting outside his house id say for the best part of 3 years, this car is rusting, as far as I could see its bubbling up quite a bit around the place, however this car runs VERY well, it has 122,000 km's on the clock (unless its in miles which it could be) although thats irrelevant, its definately a golden shade in colour, i couldnt get under the bonnet because the keys are stored away somewhere which is thoroughly annoying, im trying to get pix as we speak sent to me, I realise what im giving isnt alot of info but the info im getting is so limited and i cant even get inside the dam car :'( Im trying to figure out what exactly what it is, if the badge is 635csi, how likely is it that its a motorsport?? I also want to give them an estimation of value, at the moment the body is not too pretty, with the rust popping up, because of lack of care, these guys have no idea about cars, let alone about bmw's, it was given to them at one stage and driven for a week or so and left to sit, ill post fotos asap.

So i went and had a look today, It is a: Golden 2 door 635CSi e28 I believe, i do not know whether it is motosport but I DO know that they exist, Id didnt have a motorsport badge lol as I wasnt able to inspect the car very closely, What are these bad boys worth?

Hey guys, I dont know exact details yet, but I was after some info, my mates step dad is selling a car which has been parked behind his house for YEAARRSS, I dont know exactly, but i know its a 6 series, i THINK its a m635 if this exists??? I dunno, anyways, its manual has a v6 (apparently) and is just bout to go up for sale, does this sound familiar to anyone?? im going to visit him and have a look tomorrow so i'll post up pics and exact details, apparently it was an ex race car and is some sort of a rarity???? Cheers.

Ok, in that sense its bad, but mechanically is this also bad??
-
Ok, i just replaced my accelerator cable, the old one was really dodgy, and was wondering, because it was dodge i think it wasnt pulling as far, because when i cahnged it, my pedal would pull the new (non dodgy) cable much further, it now changes gears down at the right places, revs to about 6000rpm, and accelerates MUCH beter, stupid question, but could this in any way be a bad thing???
-
id go with her suggestion hahaha
-
buy a card reader from DSE, their simple and work easy without drivers, orr... get the cable from your camera, plug it in and install the drivers if it has any then the computer should read it as a removable drive and then you can copy/paste or drag/drop photos from one place to another

Hi guys, i've tried SO hard not to post this, but im at my wits end, its a problem ive encounterd before many times, but seeing as I mostly owned carberetted cars, this was easy to fix, imo. I start my car, and wham, idle speed VERY high, 1500 to 1800 especially in the cold, after a while of driving, it will drop, first to 1500, after a little more to around 1200 where it will stay, ive assumed it drops due to engine heat warming up (duh) Im thinking that it should be sitting somewhere between 750 - 850 rpm.???? Anyways, I am asking what to do? ive read the posts regarding this, and you've listed solutions, but im still VERY new to the bmw's, dont have a manual (yet) and dont know my way away the bimmer engine very well, can anyone offer and help or advice and dumb it down for me? Any help would be hugely appreciated, ive only ever really driven one other fuel injected car and it was for a short time and I never needed to do any work on it, im slowly getting to know the bimmer engine but its a slow process lol, I have a 1987 p/fl 320i m20 motor. Any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks guys. Alex.

cheers, thats a good idea, ill have a look at the flasher and ground possibilities, its goddamn annoying.

I have a steal shield alarm, 1 chirp armed, 2 chirps un-armed, pretty standard, single immobiliser, (not sure what else it does) but thats besides the point, when I bleep it, sometimes (and with increasing regularity) the indicators will do their required flash, one or two, but then stay on!? and i can turn the ignition on (when its unarmed) and the engine, and indicators stay on permenantly, i cant use them because their on solid and they wont turn off, the only way to turn it off is to try again, ie arm and unarm, and then after another try, sometimes 2 or 3 they stay off again, i suspect a loose connection somewhere, but can someone shed some light on the situation?? where do alarms get hooked into the indicators??? Cheers.

Insurance premiums will shoot up of course, its how they make there money , the problem with shutting off industrial areas is that they are mainly trucking roads, big trucks often operate during or throughout the night, closing these roads would only mean that "boy racers" would move to more public suburban streets, creating more danger for themselves and people around them, and also stop a large number of businesses operating during the night. And maybe ive missed this, but what about meremere??? Im aware that its in quite a bad state, but their is a strip there, why dont they make this more public, everything is there, and as far as im aware most weekends their open to public so long as you have a helmet and a wof, I could be wrong??? But improving this area, and increasing capacity, (as second strip ) maybe, would be beneficial, although it wouldnt remedy the problem seeing as the drags and such generally have more cars that could ever fit into meremere,

that would work i reckon, confiscated until fines are paid, rather than having the car sold to pay for fines giving, this would, give them more insentive to pay.
-
Well looks like the government took the suggestion of compulsory third party insurance lol, wonder if it will actually be put through, their creating another problem for themselves seeing as no one will get the insurance and ONTOP of policing "boy racers" they'll have to police not having insurance, bah.

my mum drives a rav4 as well! it does give it some justice lol

it may be, but it didnt do anything for my speakers, since the head unit is the controller of the balance, anything else it could be?
