If it's the heat sensor that's gone then it's no worry, if it was the oxy sensor then that can cause all types of wrongness.

For your M3? All the mechanical insurance companys i've seen come through work have a little disclaimer at the bottom of there policys that they won't cover any "M" engines or "AMG" engines V10 or V12 as well, actually every policy i've seen has this on it.

My cars certed with 17" wheels but has had 18" wheels for as long as i've owned it, never had trouble with WOFs etc, police officer has never asked to see the cert plate. Your issue Glenn maybe a little different though Do your own WOFs.
