  1. Impressive, seems the easiest way to go.
  2. This car was in a classic car mag not too long ago, good write up too. The insulation they used in the double layer roof was usually horse hair but this one was reconditioned from the ground up and turned out when they stripped the roof off it was full of Jew hair, the factory was just down the road from the concentration camp and BMW was buying all the hair off the gassed jews. Spooky.
  3. Yep if i disconnect the airflow sensor it still runs mint, goes to a base setting but that base setting will be assumming a nominal value is going in when in fact there will be more than the factory settings. For instance say at idle the base setting is set to 6% air entering the engine, I plan on having say 9% entering so it still needs to have a correct reading.
  4. Sorry, have just looked at the link haha.
  5. Map sensor aka manifold absolute pressure sensor, a vehicle either runs a map sensor or a air flow sensor, i am wanting to rid my airflow.
  6. Hey guys, haven't done a lot of research but one of you fellows may be in the know and possibly done this. Am wanting to know how possible it is to convert an Airflow meter to Map sensor, (airflow meter delete if you will) Car runs fine with it disconnected but am willing to put more air into the system thus requiring either airflow or map.
  7. Have been to several playdays, they are run well and have had no issues, Gary i've had a email from Tony about a penciled date later this year, I personally don't think Bimmersport could possibly come to the party number wise as most who are keen will be doing the SNZ one with the Datsons. When I originally emailed you guys the SNZ one hadn't been mentioned here.
  8. From the back, a simple Lotus, from the side...... a house.
  9. If it is actually the transmission light. P.S Who told you BMWs are weak electrical wise? That person is a liar and probably drives a Daiwoo.

    I would daily it!
  11. Yellow cars are where it's at Brent. Would be a nice kit but I have better things to spend that money on.
  12. But still kept going and going, I love a good two valves per cylinder pushrod V8! So effortless.

These are AWSOME!!!!!! Such a neat sound they make to, the middle pipe is straight from the wastegate, so loud!
  14. That is a quick fire way of saying good by to the SMG. This is a kit you can buy from the states, comes with everything you need, plenum, all the coolers, new DME plug and play type. I looked at it for a while but then saw the price. $4,500NZD.
  15. Haha didn't even notice the falcon in front of me, that's how much Fords do it for me. Yes the roof chopped beetle is what the phot is of.
  16. Saw this yesterday, brand spanking. Honestly didn't do anything for me and I think my V8 sounded better.
  17. Paparazzi following you, you need to leave quick smart etc.
  18. You buy that sort of vehicle to be driven, not to drive. Has it's own Idrive and tv in the back, the rear seats fold out like lazy boys, i'd buy one and pay someone to drive me and my mates, pub crawl millionaire styles.
  19. It's not DSG, DSG is a dog of a box, it's a double clutch gearbox DKG, works completely different and is very good! I'm now not going to read any articles on this subject as only a few months ago it was confirmed to be a V6 twin turbo. Different story everywhere you go so i'm done reading about it, no one at BMW knows anything on them. Will wait till I can see and drive one.
  20. The F01 is only $388,000. have one here if you're interested???? Go on, do it, peer presure and all that.
  21. Yeah I was told i could get it remapped which would be fine BUT i have this working on a switch so when the charger wasn't working the N/A fuel map would be all over the place, the way Toyota get round is they use two fuel maps. Mine was running around 180rwkw when dyno'd and would have potentionally gotten 220-230kw out of it but just couldn't justify the price of a new ecu. Not for this type of charger anyeway. May look into it when other things mellow out....children and houses etc. At the moment I have plans and soon enough a CSL plenum will be in place. N/A with alot more air will work just fine for now.
  22. I would be more than happy to have this as part as my property, sell the lot for quite alot more than you bought the property for originally and you have yourself a free house and land.
  23. Actually how is yours running brent? What's stopping yours leaning out at full throttle, if an S50 can't compensate then i would assume an M50 wouldn't have a sh*t show?
  24. Then there's the F01 760i. Twin turbo V12, that is a stonking car to drive! Not throw you into the back of the seat action but when you look at the speedo needle moving it's like...f**k!
