Have you checked the 85 amp fuse? They have a habit of cracking and looking O.K. but can cause this type of problem.

You should only use Platinum plugs in these cars Bosch P/N = FGR7DQP or NGK P/N = BKR6EQUP. OEM program gives no option for non Platinum type plugs. Apart from the fact they last at least 4 x as long they have much better ignitability of the fuel resulting in a more efficient burn of the fuel charge.

What about using the race series chip and cam plus an exhaust system and tuning the car to suit the mods? Probably smallest budget upgrade without major hassles

I think this is caused by bonnet sag. I remember having to reshape my old E34 bonnet over some large timber so it had a bit of an arc in the centre to allow the wipers to tuck under without making contact.

We had a similar problem. Council told us to journal the barking i.e. when it started and stopped. Owner was told to take some action to control their dogs. Owner went to all the other neighbours and had them sign something saying the dogs didnt annoy them. We were right next to the dogs everyone else was a long way from the problem. We insisted the council check for themslves. They sent dog control to monitor the barking. Owner told to sort it out. After a few more calls to council owner told to sort it out or lose the dogs. Problem solved. Dogs bark occassionally, but are removed from stimulas when owner goes out.
