Thanks gents! @Ahmedsinc - I believe the reverse/'back-up' lamp connector is part of the body loom and not the engine loom? @- Brent HARTGE535i - Thanks buddy! I thought it was weird I hadn't labelled it... Broke my thermostat housing - was standing in the engine bay between the 2 strut towers getting the accel. cable in. Accidentally stood on it... Special!!!! Went to pick-a-part - ripped one out of a 328i that was there - housing in WAY better condition than mine was - $8. Can't complain with that!! Might be starting her up soon... Will def take a video

Can someone please help me out? 1 wire left - happened to be the only one I didn't label and I have no clue as to where it goes The 2 pin plug in the pic is the one I'm referring to. M50 engine

Yaaaaay she's in! Painted the engine bay black, put in the m50, and started getting everything in order. Will sort out electrics/fuel/cooling tomorrow and start her up. Excited!!!!!! Some piccys It's not perfect but it's an improvement! Don't look too close.. Slipping it in.. She sits!! Cheers all!

Weekend!!!! Got heaps done today. Put my car in the garage, removed EVERYTHING out of the engine bay (bar brake lines and abs) and gave the engine bay a paint (gloss black). Nice and simple and will will look good with the exterior colour I have planned Removed subframe/power steering rack toile engine install a wee bit simpler (although probably not 100% necessary) Hoping to have engine in tomorrow, and loom plugged in! First start tomorrow or Sunday.... Exciting!! Have a good one! A few pics: Will take some better ones tomorrow.

Absolutely stunning man. I bet the pictures just can't do it justice either.

I have 2 window regs and motors for a pre-'93 e36 coupe (with the 6 pin and 1 pin plug, not the skinny later model). I will do the two for $60+shipping

Hey buddy no I did not!
-
Haha not this again!! It took me a while!! Was horrid. At least I knew where everything was looking forward to next weekend!

Today I spent a lot of time feeding the wire from the engine bay out to the boot so I can mount the battery in the boot when I put the m50 in (next weekend ) It was a mission. Was horrible working around the pedals and feeding the fat wire through the already cluttered cut-out in the firewall. Phew I'm glad that's done! Spent the rest of the day cleaning up the garage so it's all uncluttered for the swap weekend (and also from some constructive criticism I've had about the state of my garage floor... Hehehe). Looking forward to this coming together nicely! Pretty excited actually Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Took the box out today. Was kind of funny, was being super super careful with it as I was taking it out, strapped it to my jack and lowered and pulled it out very slowly. Expecting it to be heavy-ish. Then I un-strapped it and just picked it up. Weighs no way near what I expected, guess I should have looked up first? Took the pedals out, etc. what an annoying job, huffing and puffing trying to get past all the wires to get the bolts out. Upside down and all over the place! Peace

Thanks heaps crunchy. One day I hope to have something half as epic as yours

What's new.. Today I got a new belt, chucked the accessories on and the belt Spent ages looking around for my Allen key for the tensioner, only to find I already had it in my hand... Classic. I also put the valve cover on, torqued all the bolts. Not toooooo much more that I can do now until it goes into the car! Polished head of the valve cover, I messed the clear coat up, it crackled because I did it in the sun, so I just scratched it off and I'll polish it up again so it looks nice Looking forward to next weekend! That's when the magic is going to happen (let's hope ) Cheers all, have a good evening.

This is an e36 done right! Beautiful looking car.

Awesome day today. Chucked a coating of engine enamel clear coat on the block so it's nice and shiny now. Looks good. I didn't like the look of the valve cover, so I decided to wire brush the paint off the front 'hump' (the only bit visible with the plastic covers on), used 180,240,320,800,1500,2000 grit and then some cutting compound to get it all shiny. It took me bloody ages. I know it's not perfect, but it's a damn site better than it would have been anyway. I like it Been doing some last-minute study regarding the transfer, feeling pretty confident about it all, and hoping to have it up and running within the next 2 weeks. I'm parting out the coupe I got the engine and manual from. Selling it off for cheap as chips so if you want anything send me a message and if I have it it could be your lucky day Cheers everyone!

Hi everyone. I decided I'm just going to sell everything for cheap. Lots of bargains to be had. I unfortunately can't write the costs for everything I have, so if you want something, and I have it, make a semi-reasonable offer and if I have it it's yours. First in first served Pickup is from Lower Hutt in Wellington, buyer to arrange shipping if that's what is needed I don't mind taking larger items to depots around the area, to keep the cost down for you, etc. A rough guideline to a few of the things so I don't get told off for having open offers Window reg's and motors, $30 each. Dark blue leather seats, $50 for the pair. Bonnet (white, okay condition), $50 M-tech 2 steering wheel - great condition (no airbag) - $50 Rear bumper (white, non-m-sport, okay condition) $40 Am negotiable on some prices within reason, send me a PM if you need anything
-
Sorry buddy.. Just incredible looking seats and a Ricky Gervais quote. Haha
-
Those seats make the base of my penis tingle... Looking so good!!
-
Will do $75 now as it has no airbag
-
Passenger side window regulator and motor?
-
I have up for sale an e36 coupe manual diff out of a 325is. I'm not 100% sure of the ratio at this stage, but would be looking at selling it for around $250 with half shafts if it isn't lsd, if it is then I might be nice and sell it for cheaper than any other. Will rip it out tomorrow or the day after and check.

You can get some versions with the airbag installed, but apparently they're very few and far between. The don't crash advice is great too
-
Hahahaha. That's hilarious. I uploaded them on tinypic the right way, but it must have changed them up. It looks amazing resting on the flywheel. Hahaha. Thanks for the replies!

Greetings everyone! Got a lot done today. Timed the cams (following the pelican parts article - epic resource id be lost without it!), installed the vanos, and chucked on the sump! Made a nice coating on permatex on each side of sump gasket, seems to be a good way to go. Exciting that it's coming together nicely. Possibly aiming for an install next week, but if not it will be the week after! Have an awesome night

Here you go buddy! Some minor peeling on the very top that I didn't notice before I took it off, and a glossy patch (a drip of food or something) on the front face. Will clean up nicely and it looks awesome. Wish I could've put it in my Ti, but no airbag and mine doesn't fit. Cheers
