  7. http://www.customs.govt.nz/inprivate/charg...es/default.aspx Accompanied goods are goods (excluding your clothing and other personal effects) that are travelling with you on the same flight or ship, and that are for your own personal use. When you travel with your goods you have a personal concession of NZ$700. If you are over this amount then you may have some Customs charges to pay. Your charges will be worked out using the: Customs value of the goods – the purchase price for the goods. Customs duty – the duty rate applied to each good based on the tariff classification which comes from The Working Tariff Document of New Zealand. Goods and services tax (GST) – calculated on the total of the value of the goods, plus the duty. Your personal concession will be deducted from the transaction value of your goods prior to the calculation of duty and/or GST. If the total you owe us in duty and GST charges is less than NZ$60, then no money will be collected. This does not apply if you are importing alcohol and tobacco products.

    Please help

Is there any reason why you haven't taken it back to the Mechanic saying that they have not fixed the fault. A qualified/experienced mechanic should be able to diagnose and fix, not take a grand off you and then replace some random parts. They should also test the car before handing it back to you. BTW i recently bought a rocker cover gasket set for my E39 and it was $80 from the dealer.

bump, I have picked up a black recaro interior and am considering throwing into this. Seems a shame for just a 318i....but it is pretty mint. opinions? I may get more selling separately but I want the car sold. Would be $3400 with black recaros.
  10. Have you checked the relay? i believe its a blue one behind the glovebox?

    E30 318i 1986

1986 318i, lowered on genuine m3 springs, rear disk conversion, 51mm front struts, manual sunroof and windows. Was owned by an old fella, hardly used for years. Was sold to family and daughter rubbed it on a fence and overheated it. Body is rust free and pretty straight barring a couple of small dints. Engine bay and underside of car is very clean. Head gasket, thermostat and radiator replaced, all filters - oil, air, fuel, new fuel pump, crank seal, wheel alignment, alternator bushes. Great first car. Visit My Website
  15. (howa 3aawiz iD-Darb bi-sittiin gazma.) He deserves to be hit with sixty shoes. يا جزمة يا ابن الجزمة (ya gazma yibn ig-gazma) You shoe, you son of a shoe. Shoes are associated with dirt and connote impurity and degredation, so this is pretty insulting. classic, a nation of foot fetishers
  16. This is why your dad insisted on an AA report , so you stop and smell the coffee or in the case the rot. Once you start visualizing owning it, it is very difficult to walk away..... It might have made sense at $1700 but whats your budget for a manual conversion - $800? rust $500 For $3800 you might find one already done.
  17. See if he wants to buy your AA report........
  18. his missus is hot tho' go figure
  19. +1 on the AA report. That could easily gone the other way. If it had painted over rust or something major mechanically wrong you would be thanking your old man. Did you get a stolen check/carjam report? carjam has down as green not grey.....? I suggest you tuck away enough cash for a deposit so next time you can put some money down and buy subject to a clean report. So did you get the AA report in the end or did it sell before the inspection? if you had to cancel see if they will refund or transfer it to another car. I'm sure there will be more good buys coming up as people try to free up cash for Xmas and the GFC continues to bite......
  20. +1 for replacement boges and maybe new front lower control arm bushes if due. when these shock are new the handling is very good, comfy around town then open road - a slight roll into corners then firm and you're on a rail.
  21. Is the alternator bracket still avail?
  22. i found eBay Australia to be a good source for 2nd hand e21 parts.......
  23. Are the springs for a 6cyl or a 4?
