Looking at getting a set of 'Xenon' LowBeams from www.jimmy540i.com - anybody used these - are they worth it? High beam is fine, just lowbeam is dangerously dim!

Yep, I'll go along with that - hard to keep foot off in my 540i too! Although, I put $50 gas in it last week, I have travelled 150kms since then and the fuel light is on!!! Still, I knew that when I bought it. One question - what is the difference between a 540i MSport and a M5 ?? ENJOY !!!!

Thanks for that - just got my wheel back on from the repairer, I measured the 'Nut' and it seems to be +/- 80mm across the flats, so if yours is the same , I'll be happy to buy it off you.

Had a flatty 8.30 am on Saturday morning, hands were as cold as *&^% had trouble getting the centre cap off. Wondered if there was a tool available? Could use slipjaw pliers, but don't want to damage the centre - could use hands, but if not tight enouigh, may fall off, if too tight, will have trouble getting off! Also wondered about those oil filter removing tools with the 'leather' belts?? BUT is there a specific tool available? A large plastic spanner seems to be the ideal? Can I buy one from BMW ? Cheers

I am looking for a Cargo net to go in my E39 540i boot. I looked on Ebay, but they are US $ 55 !! Seems a little expensive! I brought one for my Pug 206Gti for less than 10 pounds on Ebay UK. Has anyone out there found a cheap source? I don't care if it is aftermarket, as long as it fits! Thanks.

The headlights in my 1996 E39 540i are terrible! I wonder if the Germans overcompensated for complaints with the HID facelift on the later models! Anyway, wiothout going to the expense of Hella HID upgrade, what are my options? - I wondered about better quality bulbs, have read on USA Bimmer forum about Projector Bulbs ( P39?? ) or Xenon etc etc. Who here has fitted something that works? I am also keen to fit a set of Angel Eyes, the prices seem to vary a lot, I see there is a thread on here that says the $399 ones from Eurovogue are the best - anyone got experience with these? Easy to self fit? Thanks in advance
