Hopefully your boss isn't logging your internet usage... especially on Bimmersport during the day

Hi All, Was wondering if anyone out there knew the definate answer to the following: Have a 94 NZ New E36 Coupe with analogue heater controls. Noticed recently the fan only works on speed 1, 3 and 4. Setting 1 and 2 have the same output, but occasionally, if left on 2, it comes to life and after a few minutes driving and works as normal until I change to another speed. My guess is the resistor is starting to go. I've been told there are two types - one for analogue and one for the digital climate control. Dealer asked me to pull the resistor out and check which one. Before I tackle that, anyone had to replace theirs?

My 1994 NZ New Coupe's interior is flawless. This is largely due to being babied it's whole life. It is easier to take care of though due to the colour - black with black leather. Most E36's especially those with light colour carpets/seats will be showing their age unless they have spent most of their lives locked away.

Looking mint! Love the e34's esp wide grills... Rare colour too.

stock with polished lip???

My e34 passenger wiper blade kept hitting the bonnet. Unbolted it and moved it a notch further away from the bottom of the windscreen at the stop position and didn't have the problem again. The wiper sits further up the windscreen though but not a major... BMW told me that the actual mechanism starts to wear and they have more play thus allowing the wiper to strike the bonnet.

Have you tried holding down the lock button on the key? Mine locks, then the windows roll up while holding down the button on the factory remote locking system. Doesn't close the sunroof though...

The e30 can be twitchy in the wet - especially if the road is greasy!

NZ New Club Sport... Trademe

4. Black electrical tape over light in cluster?
-
Ah... Just noticed that this has now been added... Trademe
-
Hi All, Found this earlier Trademe Link Compared to other E46 Clubsports, it looks like a bargin! NZ new Clubsports appear to get SMG whereas this one appears to have normal auto with paddleshift??? Correct me if I'm wrong.

My rear switches never lit up when I got the E34. I re-souldered bulbs in them and noticed they stayed on for days too... possibly why the bulbs burnt out in the first place. Never had problems with the battery though.

Hi All, Not sure if this has been discussed but would this be a genuine S3 or just a 325i with some Schnitzer bits? TM Link If not, it's pretty miss-leading.

I have a set of Direzza's on the e36 coupe and notice they are noisy at speeds around 30-60 KPH. Most of the noise was due to a rear wheel bearing which was replaced. To be honest, i'm not sure if the road noise is normal or not because the previous tires were just as bad (Toyo's) and there is a little scalloping of the front left tyre. I would get a wheel alignment but has anyone driven on the Hutt Motorway through Petone recently!!??

Steering wheel is straight to start off with. Standard steering wheel. It doesn't click off no matter how many times the wheel goes back around.
-
Hi All, Wondering if I need a new indicator stalk? Doesn't click off when the steering wheel returns to centre. Car is an E30. No simple fix???

Here are some pics - quality is not the best sorry

Sounds like i'll need to take out the old one first... damn :-p

Hey All, Wondering if anyone has the following parts to complete the following fix: http://e30.bmwdiy.info/blower-resistor/index.html Wanna sort out the heater/aircon fan on the E30. It's only working on the highest setting which is a pain! Cheers
-
It's got the older style passenger vents and glovebox switch? Thought they changed this for 1994/5... not that it matters!!!
-
Hey Nathan, Is this for a coupe? Are you also selling seats? Cheers

Hi all, Looking to buy two horns for the E30. Think the old ones have had their day. The one that has stopped working has an "H" on it so assuming it's the high note but might as well buy both as the other one sounds a bit sick too. Assuming the other one has an "L" on it? Haven't got under to check that one. Kinda sounds like a dying Japanese car horn at the moment so if you have any about, let me know... Cheers

Not sure if im correct here but I'm pretty sure Japanese assembled e34's with m50 engines/auto's fitted also had the Jatco transmission. Had nothing but issues with mine including being replaced twice. A software reset also helped. Never could get rid of the flare from 3rd to 4th when accelerating hard.
