    Hydaraulic vs. Vaccuum

commonly found on e28s if I'm not mistaken? would be much of a muchness, although, on vehicle running a fairly wild cam, the hydraulic setup could hold merit over the vacuum? being that high lift/long duration cams aren't the best at creating a vacuum... alot of cars with such cams have to run a vacuum tank to store vacuum that's able to be scavenged on the over-run, with a pcv valve to stop the engine drawing the accumulated vacuum back, to be able to cope with braking demands etc. would be interesting to see... hydraulic on abs system = still reasonably spongey. could be the left hand mounted booster with linkage system's fault though. I understand that it's a trademark of bmw, so yuh
  3. 'tis the new ganstuh mod. there's a guy here in palmy who has both his plates like that, and his interior rear view mirror tilted to match. ganstuh lean goes a step further perhaps

  5. keen for billy ray cyrus classic, achy breaky heart..... love it, who needs a symphony orchestra when you've got that
  6. need room for one car. mainly storage of 1x205GTi, but will expect to be able to go turn spanners in there from time to time. pm me anything you know of, chur. not wanting to pay out my ass for storage shed in town, so someone with mates/relations/grandma that don't use most of their shed space would be tops.
  7. depends what kinda airbox he was running before and how it performs with an m30. I wouldn't expect 10kw either. prolly pick up a little more with a mean full exhaust, if you don't already have something.... sounds nice whatever you've got, form what i heard of you leaving richard/lewis place the other week
  8. you adding to that sheild at all? just that there;'s a huge gap at the back, which, is the hottest end of that part of the engine ba theoretically..... you got a cold air pipe running to feed this also? or just rock whatever comes in behind the headlight? looks good.

  21. pointless drivel but GTi = 13-14km/litre, fangin' (v. quick trip feilding to kumeu, auckland) round town bout 10km/l on the same. trying to nana it on the open road actually makes it hungrier. guess it's more laboursome on the engine in higher gears. duno. tis a bitch to keep on the speed limit.... MS65 = 7.5km/l on 65ish litres, open road. round town, prolly be lucky to get 6km/l. hungry. and that = my daily driver. silly idea lol

    Mint 6er

I'm uninterested, as that's nothing to do with the topic. also, classicly, the vehicles in which these boat anchors are fitted to are landbarges not worth their salt, they're shocking. I've owned a classic one, although not an 8, and would never own another. the power delivery of every american style v8 i've ever driven (there's been a few) has never excited me either. your "OMG V8 WINS" falls on deaf ears with me, esp when you talk of being openminded, when you bag 'technology' with your 'ricebucket hating'. go the 4cyl
