you can definitely get a full system for UNDER $500... sparkle's in twin system right to the back with 4 mufflers and that was $500.. don't go too big - use 2" pipe. press bends are fine, f**k spending moonbeams on mandrels on a stock 1800 n/a get a small resonator up front, decent straight through muffler at the back.. DTM tips with a decent upsweep look mega on compacts :mosh: keep the tip size down, and dont buy a muffler like tims that just fell apart. werd! :thumb:

what sorta price have ya got on that one dude?
-
it'll just start leaking a few months down the track, go for a new one.

apparently he's pointing out how he agrees how awesome is was that gus flopped out an apparent macgyver style repairgood work, not really mcgyver styles but weerd nonetheless

:gay: almost as bad as homos that roll around without a bonnet just to show off their pod filter or some sh*t ub3r ghey :gay:
-
who cares, euro plates are over-rated anyway, don't get them at all if you a)don't wanna pay the price or don't want to run the risk of being snapped with a non-legit euro plate. my van plates rule, the fornt one doesnt reflect very well at all due to a small concoction of mine

it's so that they can have a crash at 20mph or something and only damage sustained is bumper - US federal car laws or some sh*t plus when you've got all the mates round for a party by the pool, you can whoop it out - instant diving board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
buy a decent one, honestly, sh*t torque wrenches aren't cool
-
gutted, haha, prolly wasnt as mint as you though in hindsight huh???

theres MAF setups available from the states, however it's more expensive just for the parts than to buy a brand new Link ECU... go figure....honestly, I'd never bother changing the AFM for a slightly bigger unit, especially if you have to change the guts. - bigger cross sectional area moving vane AFM will open less than a smaller one at the same air velocit/volume, when the insides of a smaller unit are put in to rectify the different ECU type, then it will end up running lean = :gay:
-
moving Vane AFM would be the biggest problemchanging the AFM for a 535i one or something will only work if you use the adjuster to set the mixture right, as Tim said - the idle goes lumpy as a mofo-heard his the other day in town... shouldn't need to change the guts of it though, just adjust it - also have to di this afte head mods and crap I rekon theres alot of gain to be had from intake & exhaust mods-the ports seem fairly restrictive, and BMW exhaust manifolds are terrible looking, new exhaust system makes a difference. -

nice work stud, I dont think he wants a brand spanking new engine... f**k that the price would be astronomical in comparison to a perfect condition secondhand unit :rambo:
-
hahaha, when some full came on here with one for sale a couple months back everyone backed down and offered him jack sh*t....
-

mega good oil is cheap insurance... if you're running crap then engine life is shortened in theory.... since they're cheap and essentially a current model, go for teh OEM filter minimum, and get some decent oil. otherwise run what the bmw workshop runs, or the BMW branded stuff I always run decent oil and filters (always donaldson on teh van for oil filter, running AGIP oil at the moment since it's cheap at work - not impressed with it though, after 300km running on MOBIL delvac MX it was sweet, on agip it blows a little blue on cold startup with a bit of a rev, could point to the turbo oil seal condition though...although its only a tiny wisp-no evidence of oil usage on the dipstick 3000km into this oilchange) decent stuff is really no more expensive than sh*t stuff holla
-
see if they match up aesthetically, form that it should be sweet
-
