Ill check out that obc tonight, Maybe Ill unplug that and see if it stops. Not really a major issue just gets irritating after a while.

its been happening lately and the outside temp is around 20-25 degrees. Ive got the OBC in the hood lining but none of the warning lamps light up aye. Im totally clueless as to what it is..... thought someone here may know.

Theres no factory analogue clock in my centre console so i doubt its that, cheers for the thought though.

I do have an aftermarket stereo, happens at random times, while driving, when parked, just random as times. sometimes it wont do it for a week, then it'll do it 2 or 3 times the next day.

Yeah Ill probably get myself a m20B25 engine and turbo that(since mines only M20B20 at the mo ) Im keen on keeping the engine from the BMW stable if possible, and its a pretty simple affair to do the m20b25 upgrade.

I think greg meant the difference between a rebuilt shock and an insert replacement, Not the difference between a Koni and a Bilstein. Greg just had his front Bilstiens rebuilt as inserts are not availiable. He got the shaft replaced, as it had wear marks, and naturally they replaced all the seals, regased, etc.

Every now and then my e30 makes 3 loud beeps, about 1 beep per second. It beeping seems to come from around the instrument cluster area, however, no warning lights come up and nothing seems to change in terms of driveability. Anyone know what it could be???

You Shouldnt loose any compression by changing your cam. The Static compression ratio should still be the same. I notice theres no torque curve on the second dyno, Would be interesting to see the increased torque across the dyno chart after the new cam. Keep us all posted on the progress, Ive been trying to weigh up whether or not to turbo my e30 or do a transplant to a different engine.

Sounds pretty common, My indicators did the same thing about a month ago. Just cleaned up the connector and she was all good again.

Yeah there's always gonna be someone dishonest out there trying to make a quick buck. Ive been an mechanic for close to 10 years now and believe me, Ive heard some shocking stories in my time. Its true that you get what you pay for, and a Good reputation is something to look out for. I heard stories recently of a local repair agent, who was carrying out fraudulent warranty claims on vehicles. He (lucky for his customers) was fitting the new parts into their cars, and was then selling the "faulty" second hand parts off to local wreckers. Making $$$ on the warranty claims and then More $$$ when he sold off the parts. Needless to say I only caught wind of this because, he got caught red handed. The automotive industry is getting more and more competitive and this is probably, IMO, what drives some of these guys to do such foolish things. We all just need to keep our eyes peeled and if your ever unsure, get a second opinion.

Any reason why you went for a CA18 rather than the usual SR20 conversion? Smaller/ Lighter/ Cheaper??? Ive heard they are still a very strong engine. IC setup lookin good, will keep it lookin like a sleeper without a big FMIC hangin out the front. Two thumbs up IMO.

I think he's been burned by every audi owner on that forum.... almost makes me wana sign up just to burn him too. He's soooo lucky he doesnt owm a Bimmer and asked us all how to fix it.

Always hard to find rims to suit the E30's. And some dish too, very nice. Any Idea on cost $$$???
