I think i'd rather have weaves than bottle caps, just a bit different from every other E30.

E30 318iS got 14" weaves, M325i and 325iX got 15" but the 325iX are a different offset.

Welcome, I'd leave the woofers where they are in the kick panels and either mount the tweeters on the dash or in the door. I got mine up on the dash. The standard e30 speaker size is 5 1/4" but I just cut out a hole in the kick panel and mounted a 6.5" in there, or do what tim (bumpstop) said and try and find some proper mounts/grills for them. In terms of amp either a 4 channel which will run splits and a sub or a seperate amp for each. I wouldn't bother with rear speakers (i don't use mine) but if you do want them just run them off the head unit. See "my sounds setup" for my front speaker set up.

My factory muffler is falling to bits, its rusting and the baffles inside have broken so it makes a really annoying rattling noise. So, time for a new one. Anybody got any ideas? I will probably only end up doing the end muffler, I'm after something that sits higher than the old one so i don't scrape it all the time, and i'd like it to sound better and be just a little bit louder if ya know what i mean. Oh yeah if it looks good all the better. Should i just go shopping at repco or does anyone have any ideas where to go in Lower Hutt. Also, is it worth getting the middle muffler cut out and putting a coby in instead? Would this give much of a performance increase and how much louder would it be? BTW The old man's pretty handy with the gas torch so I'd probably get him to do it. Thanks for any ideas guys, Mike

Leaking boot (turned out to be tail-light seal) Steering rack end boot Rust in sunroof, around front windscreen, around where battery sits in the front Numerous electrical problems Shocks Seatbelts -female part sometimes craps out Torn seats That said I've had to get 3 WOF with my car and its passed 2 first time, the other time was front shocks.

I'm going by the owners manual here, same for the 0 to 100

Just updating on parts still available. 325 5spd box (motronic)- one of the rear mounts is broken, looks fixable, $200 320 5spd box - $200 M20B20 with broken rocker arms, other than that its fine, offers? Manual steering rack $200 Lowering springs $200 plus other bits and pieces Diff, shocks, rotors, pedal box, shift stuff, seats and M20B25 have all been sold.

Find out exactly what it is. We have the complete rear supsension from another 320 so you could always bolt that in.

Normally the best tyres on the front. But it is up to you. And it will only make a difference in the wet. Another thing to consider though, if you lose the front chances are it will only be a little bit of understeer, if you lose the back in a big way chance are its going to be much worse. just something else to think about. Seen as you reckon you got oversteer under control i would put the best tyres on the front. Dunno if that makes sense but my 2c

The wipers came on the euro bimmers, my mates one had them and that was imported from england. My dad's mate with the DK Motorsport Cabrio has them as well.

Who here saw Top Gear last night? If you did you'll know what I'm talking about. Anyway Jeremy Clarkson found out that if you hold the remote for your car alarm to your head you can almost double the range of it. I tried it and it works! I don't know how or why buts its dam cool. Can anyone explain the science behind it, and is it bad for you? (Could it be screwing up you head or anything?

What springs are you running, and why would you want to go even softer than standard? Dam Tim, you must be bottoming out everywhere.

The stiffer springs would be the main reason for that.

Proper way to measure ride height is from the centre of the rim to the top of the wheel arch, that way tire size doesn't matter.

Is that where the other wires on the lock motors come into it? Theres 5 wires on most of the motors but i'm only using 2. Also are the switches on the door lock cylinders for activating the unlock inhibit.? I take it the factory lock relay controls all this as well? Another question, where would i find all the existing wires? I couldn't find any in the doors, is it all hidden behind the kick panels?

I can only tell you about installing the door motors part. I never did the wireing becuase its all hooked into the alarm. BTW got it installed today and its working with the alarm fine. The only thing is if you manualy lock or unlock a door it will be independent of the others. I didn't take any pics sorry, its quite hard to see anyway, all behind the door. It pretty easy to do, only took half hour per door.
