  1. FINALLY FIXED!

Turned out to be the master cylinder, ian found me another spring and i got a recon kit from BNT ($25). Put it back together and now my clutch is back to normal. just hoping it stays that way...

  2. Tim's right about the box's.

Dave- the engine would be more suitable for parts or as a direct replacement if you already have a damaged 2.5 You might be able to use a loom from a 325 thats been involved in a really bad frontal crash or something though.

  3. Had a decent look at the hydraulic system and couldn't see any leaks. I also noticed that when i put my foot on the clutch it would disengage as normal but after a few seconds it would start to engage again. When i look at the lsave cylinder i could see the rod was do exactly that, it was getting forced back. I replaced the slave cylinder and bled it and its still doing so its gotta be the master cylinder, i'll do that tomoro and see what happens.

  4. Some parts off my mates car still for sale plus some other bits and pieces...

M20B25- no loom but includes airbox and exhaust

M20B20- includes loom and is complete but all the exhaust rocker arms have broken, don't know if the valves or pistons are damaged

2x 5spd E30 6cyl g/box, one is from 320 and other from 325i, 325 box has one rear mount broken,

    set of 20mm lowering springs

Seats- blue clothe from a 2 door (rip in drivers but everything else is fine

Blue vinyl door cards, 2 door again

Various other parts also available, just ask.

  5. Stupid clutch isn't disengaging properly. Just started happening tonight. Slowly got worse and worse. There is still fluid in the reservoir. Pedal feels really wierd, sometimes car will stall and or wont moving when its in gear. To make it worse sometimes the clutch is back to normal, but normally the clutch will start engaging right as soon as i start to release the pedal. I'm assuming its either the master or slave cylinder. Is there anyway to tell what ones playing up or could it be something completley different?

  6. Na don't bother with back speakers. I wasn't sure at first but i like it better now with no rear fill. I'm just going to put the factory grills in place with no speakers in to let a bit more sound thru.

Just get a sub in the boot and some decent comps up front and your sorted. (Get a good headunit as well of course)

  7. He has to install the alarm anyway, the alarm doesn't need anything extra to work with the central lock. i just take the wires from the actuators to the right kick panel and he will wire it all up. Simple. What else would i need from my mates car?
