    325i Race car

Good luck mate, its a well set up car! Its hard selling a car you have spent a lot of time and money on and its even harder when you are constantly approached by retards with dumb questions and no money when selling! Also. Buy this please, you will never look back, it will be faster than the E30 around the track and still useful everyday. The guy that owns it works for Renault NZ and the car is mint, he will take slightly less. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-274568335.htm Mate has a RS172 and we have mean trackday battles, possibly the best factory sleeper in NZ, will eat a Honda Civiv Type-R and is easier to drive. 2c.
  3. I think he meant its not a Sport Evo.. and its not.
  4. Yep. And I was the biggest fan in the world, dad and his mates had a lot of the Group-A error cars, Nissan Skyline GTR’s, M3’s, Cosies, couple of them had the Group-A Commodores, road trips to the Nissan Mobil 500 in wellington in them, and I remember them trading up to new models as you would a late model equivalent these days without a second thought of what they would be worth in a few years, they were not as much a hero car back then a you would like to imagen, hell an average E30 M3 was worth nothing as late as 2000, so yea as a complete car obsessive as a kid I have a fond very clear recollection of these cars, I remember going in a brand new Black E30 M3 in the 80’s, I remember going for a ride in the Brand New Group-A SS from Schoffields. Another cool memory I have is going on the press launch of the Nissan Godzilla after the 1989/90 Auckland car show, they had a Burgundy GTR and a red 300ZX, they were the first in NZ.. Lucky to have a old man that was a car nut and competitive with his mates, gotta keep up with the joneses what what
  5. No but dam you that’s cool, Wish Sky TV would play this instead of that gay WTTC sh*t. Look who is up front
  6. I do wonder and if I knew I would be a fortune teller, remembering when the Sport Evo came out and they were actually hard to sell, as were the Walkinshaw Group A SS’s and other Homologation specials like the R32 GTR in certain markets... The Group B RS200 was a sh*t load more desireable. We didn’t know Group A was near dead and special cars like that were going to be a thing of the past. The Group-A Touring and Rally car error was my favourite and I don’t think it will be replicated. I don’t think there is a modern equivalent to Group A cars but there are defiantly a lot of collectable cars still being produced today, but what will be collectable im unsure, look to the mid to late 90's for an idea. Anyone seen a EB EF Ford Falcon GT for sale recentlly?? How about a HSV GTS-R?? These are growing in value. It’s going to come back to personal preference as well, look at my own car for example, it’s one of 10 in NZ and is a limited number car to celebrate Renault winning the drivers and constructers championship, in ten years time I guaranty it will be very sort after, more so looking at how soft cars are quickly becoming. Unfortunately being French it won’t actually last 10 years in original condition so I will predict the collectors in the UK who are purchasing low KM cars now (as well as R26.R’s) could be onto something. Disclaimer: Im not directly comparing a Megane to the M3 just using it as an example

    E30 Touring

Sold. Didn’t expect so fast TBH. Seem to have luck at this TM thing, cars sell first auction every time. Note all people that looked at I or contacted me already had an E30 or have owned one before. Hope the new owner will enjoy it as much as I have. Now I just have to wait for a replacement to pop up. Will look at a cheap E34 station wagon or the like.
  8. Good stuff Hans! This is a mean track. Some more info and discussion. http://www.eurosport.org.nz/forum/viewtopi...?f=3&t=8101 Would be cool to see some BMW's there, it is a dream of a track in a RWD.
  9. About 10%. Went into pits last year, the car is 10cm shorter than a road car, there is no floor and the driver is sitting 20cm offset towards center of the car. They are Epic awesome cars and the pits is like a fricken spaceship with all the race equipment and 30 odd computers being feed hundreds of channels of information from the car! Im getting excited now. Yea that was an exaggeration to prove a point that even with all the technology in the latest BMW the old school Supercar will still pawn it harder than a BMW fanboy pwns his pants when he sees a M3. At the GP last year they had a good comparison of speed, first a race prepped 135i with all the BMW Performance parts fitted, roll cage, race seats, 35 seconds later the V8 Supercar went out and then 35 seconds later the F1 car went out, was really interesting as the all finished at the furnish line about the same time. Here is an edited video. There are lots of BMW’s I the support races at the Hamilton race, if it want for the V8’s they wouldn’t have the opportunity to race there. It’s the best event to come to NZ IMHO, the closest we get to an awesome event like the GP in Melbourne.
  10. Mods need something to do, they get itchy trigger fingers and when other hand held devices loose there fun Ban em all, go on a rampage. Do agree with “Ari”, so much fail on this forum, logging in becomes a sh*t sift. Use the New Posts Tab and simply look at who stated the post and who was last to post there, it’s a good indication of the quality of the content. Or simply don’t post anything and read though with your palm on your face. Waits for topic close.

    325i touring log

Good stuff Max. If you ever need a hand with removing and refitting the rear int panelling give me a call and im happy to help out, there is a easy way to do it in a sequence, stuff it up and its really easy to damage everything. If you want to have a drive of mine to get an idea as to how the Boge Turbo ? Vogtlands combo works let me know. Also keen on your Coil Over’s for my Touring if it doesn’t sell, I have evil stage two plans for it. 021-46-00-15
  12. You are aware that even with its prehistoric tech one would be twice as fast as a new ultra high tech road going BMW M3 or the like? They are bloody fast, that should be testament to how well they can machine and design the cars even with restrictions. I recommend you go to a race as I really don't think you comprehend how fast these cars are, they smell, sound and look awesome, any man who says they don't should hand in their man card. Hell if all else fails there are the lush Jim Beam Girls and Lion Red Chair Team there to keep you entertained. See you all there
  13. Reality is they won’t be based on production cars and will share lots of components between teams regardless of “manufacturer” all will have to subscribe to a formula and to a budget and testing cap and all team members will have to be Australian, if anything it wouldn’t be the competition that kills’s the sport it would be the regulations. Will be very surprised if anything eventuates this decade, as mentioned above, they get the numbers to the events and Holden and Ford sell sh*t loads of cars and it is very entertaining as it is.
  14. X2. The last hour was bloody good, better than some Bathurst final hours of late. All you V8 haters need to pick your dresses up off the ground and head to a V8 race! After that tell me you didn’t get a slight petrol powered testosterone hardon for the sport and the brilliant festival that is V8 supercars, the cars and the atmosphere is totally awesome live! Who goes to the sevens to watch the rugby?? I would love to see the Formula moved to a full silhouette series as it has been heading towards for a few years now, unfortunately I can’t see it happening in the next five years in-between witch time this type of thread will pop up a thousand more times and some noddy will say that the Godzilla was banned and the V8's are prehistoric. What’s new.
  15. That is simply not fair. Looks like a RS200 and a 190e Evolution on the truck as well. Funny that the two NZ cars are so close in build numbers if they were not imported new.
  16. There were only 600 made, how many remain is unknown, finding one and buying one in NZD will work out quite expensive so keep in mind that you will need circa $80,000NZD to find and purchase one that’s in good condition. Good luck.
  17. There are two Evolution Sports according to the owner of this one. And I’d say he knows. Absolutely beautiful car.

  19. Ha, I had to lower myself and check why my POS has had so many views and near 100 watches in less than one day, im sure 80% are via BS Eurosport have been busy with lots and lots of events this year already thanks Simon, we are having a dyno day this month and a Hampton Down’s trackday later this year. We had a stand at the Four & Rotary Nationals that went really well, even had a couple of BMW's on it. We are also planning a German Road trip incorporating the German Grand Prix and two days at the Nurburgring next July as part of our social club so yea, really busy. BSers are always more than welcome to come along and show us what BMW’s are all about, we are a friendly social bunch of GC’s that are interested in cars, not makes so dont be shy to rock along to an event and introduce yourself, we are far from cool kids, more car geeks TBH Thanks for viewing my auction.
  20. Tell him he’s dreaming.
  21. There is a section called ‘Show Room’ for a reason, to show off your ride, it has a subtitle and everything, how taking stockings off your headlights is somehow general discussion is beyond me. Moderators. To many chefs spoil the soup.
  22. Kis, im the only person who moaned so im guessing that’s aimed at me. You have been here a month, wait a year and for 15 more topics about nothing and you might grow tired also. Im sorry if you took it to hart Brooke, it’s just in all forums I have been involved with most people start one thread and add to it when then have something interesting to contribute. Keep up the good work.
  23. Your car looks nice. Just as it did in the other 16 threads about it
  24. You should have really started a thread for each individual modification seeming they are so massive. Maybe a how to n each would be helpful.
  25. That looks bad ass. Im not old enough to know what the A Team is but Mr-T is still cool. Also. Car geek spotted a ultra rare 2001 Diablo GT. Its a repli-car bet it gets crushed
