I am ghetto. Cars are for driving, when im blasting along on a back road and smiling ear to ear I could care less what the car looks like. For the record I do like the look of it, as do most women, quality women.
-
Yes I do drive a Megane because they drive well and are fast... the good looks are an added bonus haha.
-
X2. They are a drivers car, people who drive cars based purely on what people think miss out on some bloody good cars My question is how is an old automatic 320i any more manly?
-
Paint the wheels black and lower it and the never clean it.

Haha. You must have seen me stuck behind that E34 going walking pace. If that was you im sorry.

This has high KMs but could be all good. Nicely specked car. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=278889163

It’s in the latest NZ Autocar Magazine.. fap fap. It looks amazing and to think the owner is going to pull it down and do a full rebuild!

Spotted an awesome Silver E39 530i with Japanese plate holder and blaring rear fog lights in Ponsonby last night, he had some nice trade me angel eyes and didn’t have his head lights on so it looked like this So menacing, seeing how cool it looked the missus and I were surprised the car wasn’t full of hot women.

That’s quintessentially the problem I have with it. A ratrod or eurorat should really be a car that has had little time, effort and money spent on it. As P-Jay said more or less it’s a fashion statement and reminds me a lot of the funny fashion campaign in Zoolandar, derelict, where people were spending a lot of money trying to look homeless.

You are indeed. Are you an old 25 or a young 25? I like it. It is not a proper rat as he has spent way too much money on it, a rat should be a disposable car. The Engine swap fits into the scavenge and adapt philosophy. I like shiny pain t to much to have a rat type car but can appreciate them.

Choice car mate, the interior in these are beautiful, you could spend a week in one no worries, we drove one for a weekend a few years back and found the 3.5 V8 went well, much harder than I expected after driving the 745i. Would love a e66 one day. What Asian country is it from? Not Japan judging by the plate holder, we drove an 04 and it had the updated I-Drive, being a non Japan car you can simply buy the NZ Nav map DVD and insert it to get the Sat Nav going.

I just jump in my car and turn every light on, front and rear fogs all day long to the cows come home, I also try and drive beside graffitied buildings as much as possible for added gangster appeal. Hoooooo yeeaaaaaaaaaaa so gangster. But seriously. I would say Visibility for 15% of people and the rest are just trying to look as tough as me.

JZ swaps repair anything. I like it.

I wouldn’t say the e30 Touring is any rarer than the M325i F/L, but that’s just my TM observations over time, they do all seem to come up for sale at the same time though, when I sold mine there were five or six available. The F/L M325i will be the more collectable car as it is the genuine Tech II car and is a much sportier drive and will appeal to the collectors, a Tech II touring will always been cooler and attract more attention, unfortunately from a crowd that often can’t afford them. Good luck with the sale Jason, it’s a nice looking wagon and has a great spec.

They will not be bringing out an AWD in the current shape. Its on its last legs as it is. Tell your mate to keep dreaming They did however just bring out a RS500 version with a pit more poke and a few special bits. Did you drive the one and only Green one floating around Auckland?
-
Sorry mate it had to be done. And yes I envy your day of shooting with that blond, what a stunner.

And might I add I can no longer look at the catalogue without cracking up. The captions I would love to add to some of the photo’s.

FastLaneDaily: Alex Roy "Is BMW the new GM?"
Apex replied to Golfboy666GTI's topic in General Discussion
I agree totally. Im open minded and would have to agree that BMW have lost the premium feel they once had, I went car shopping with my old lady last year and after a day of driving three and one series she decided to keep her 1999 328i, now she has had new three series since the E30 and in her opinion the current high end three feels a less premium product than then her current ten year old E46, the one series felt less premium than our Holden Astra and had a lot less kit for twice the price (38k vs. 76k). I would agree that BMW reached a pinnacle in the early noughts, Its not that they have got worse I think it’s just the competition has got a whole lot better, combine that with BMW’s bland new styling and you struggle to see the appeal of them over cheaper competition, compare a 2000 three series to a 2000 Mazda 626 or Honda accord then compare a 2010 Three series to a 2010 Mazda 6 or new accord Euro. I do think the 5 and 7 are street ahead though. -
Quality. These video’s inspired me to plug in my PC loud speakers that have bee sitting here for a while. Straight cut box + level 11 = win.

Same same. I paid near 10k for mine but got a free M325i with it. It’s got a 365mm and its perfect, it’s one of the best feeling wheels I have had in any car, nice and chubby, nice size for thigh clearance and the thumb cut ergonomics are perfect, looks the mutts nuts in theE30 also.
-
Thanks Nick Fair enough, you get what you pay for. I did expect it to last more than 1000km though Should have taken this.

Cheers Simon, I can read it now Dealer was a git, first his car jumped up in value then my trade seemed to nose dive making the difference quite ridiculous, 50k is a lot of money for a ten year old E46… Trade in offer’s are ridiculous, 10k less than an identical car on TM, 5k I could understand but 10k! I wonder what he traded the m3 for. Will keep dreaming. Thanks for the feedback guys.
