For sure I couldn’t buy a Subaru Legacy either, they are great cars and do everything well but as you say lack personality, they are a car that 'car people' don’t buy but recommend to everyone else. Get an E30.
-
Seeming you got them for free and you are not supposed to sell Comp tickets I’ll give you a box of beer, a Steak and Cheese Pie and a Cream and Jam Doughnut for them.

A friend had a lesser model AMG for a couple of years and as much as he loved it commented that the maintenance costs far outweighed the pleasure of ownership, in fact, he spent most of the time driving a Toyota Corolla whilst he owned it. 90’s Mercedes are not built like they used to. [sarcasm]The E39 makes a much better car as there are 2.4 million of them in NZ, yes every second household in low social demographic Auckland has one so parts are plentiful and easy to maintain when they inevitably fall apart at about 10 years of age. I managed to fix eight WOF failed items for under a grand on mine using quality worn second hand parts, now that’s value… they needed replacing less than two years later but that’s not the point.[sarcasm] This. There are seriously some far superior modern cars to the E39 for 25-30k. I was offered a NZ new 2008 Subaru Legacy GT with leather FSH and 35,000km for well under 30k yesterday, that’s a good car that’s 1.5 years old with 1.5 years worth of warranty on it.

Happy Birthday Ants. Have a great Tuesday.

As said you can just swap the plastic insert if someone wanted to fit it to their mums 6-Speed Ford Feistier. Brand new from Euro-Italian with the (IMHO) oh so try hard M sport insert, expect to pay $120-130new..

I know you’re not silly but do some research into proper maintenance and common wear items then check how comfortable you are with each cars running’s costs. As an example I could afford the purchase price of an E60 but could not afford the annual maintenance costs or even worse, I would have been unable to afford the repair cost if something major failed. Just something to consider when choosing an older “premium†car.

Last year, like all years was fantastic, id much rather work than go to a music festival and spend the day in the sun with happy people enjoying music.
-
Well done, thats a good deal. Nice we car. GFC

Who goes for the music? There.

Nice one Brian, you of all people should know that what is on the pacs is very real. Its easy to ignore the warnings when you are a drug addict though

Choice. Do this one as a warm up. Only takes a month to train. http://www.coolrunning.co.nz/races/cathaypacific/

The 535d is what is needed in manual. Lots of nice manual E60's in England for us. Group buy?? I like what the owner of the silver E60 has done painting the fake bumper insert black, I contemplated this a few time and photoshoped mine but was uncertain that it would look as good as it does. Need more E60's on Bimmersport.

"How to be a bitch thread" Im surprised you didn't sagest we grow some balls. To appease you, my new, new years resolution is to spend money on my cars, just to be completely different from any other year and to keep my girlfriend

Problem is people quit and somehow feel they are missing out and are deprived, they also dont realize one cigarette is all it takes to be addicted again. There is no such thing as just one. You are a smoker or a non smoker. Takes three weeks for 99% of the drug to leave your system, takes half an hour for it to die down making you want more. Honestly, Allen Carrs book is the way to go, even if you dont want to quit it is a good read.
-
Very nice, your car looks to have a very nice finnish, clear to see the effort that has gone into it. The Silver car looks great, exactly (exactly!) how I would like an E60, it looks better than an M5, have always thought the M5 looks somewhat disproportionate with its bulges..
-
Allen Carrs Easy Way To Stop Smoking is good, it has really explained a few things to me and dispelled a few myths. Its 95% mental, Nicotine while a very addictive drug is very weak, the erge to light up is in your head. Recommend that book to any smoker, you wont want to read it if you are though because you will have to quit and you enjoy smoking so much right suckers. Read it in one day and will never smoke again. Factoid: A 2 a day smoker is just as addicted as a 100 a day smoker, a 2 a day smoker is just a stronger willed person.

Cruel is a dealer selling a faulty japanese import... I bet he didnt know it was faulty though eh I Have never owned a Vauxhall you must have me confused with another forum member.
-
I quit smoking. Quite easy really, dont know why I spent so many years and so much money trying to prematurely kill myself whilst looking like a completely filthy leper. Feels great to be a non smoker after 13 years.

Just brought this nine year old dog from Japan, but I'm the first NZ owner, so proud to be the first owner of this mystery prize in another country, somehow shipping someone else's unwanted flee ridden mongrel to another country makes it a new puppy. Take it back and run to the hills.
-
Should not be doing that if its a NZ new Jap import thats only two weeks old. Take it back to the dealer and ask for a refund. You have the right to do so and is your best bet. Say you take it in and have them fix it them are going to have the cheapest second hand gearbox they can find fitted buy the doggiest fresh import mechanic they can find as to have it fixed properly will run them a small fortune. Have had it happen to me and have seen it happen to others time and time again.

I do actually think cheap products leave more water marks, I avoid products that promote that they are a wash and wax, for some reason they leave more water marks. I aim for the softest high sud stuff I can get, them blast it off with a water blaster. I no longer have a car with a decent paint job so Im less fussy these days but find the Meguires Drying towel is magic, can dry the whole car in 5 mins without a wring out, they are expensive though, I have one in the kitchen also, they rule at drying dishes. Get fussy and finnish up with a Mothers drying towel and quick detailer.
