  1. Did someone say party in south auckalnd. Keen Oh, and Papakura pwns rewa.
  2. X2 but where would you find one, us touring drivers are very cautious drivers you know. It’s interesting and ambitious that’s for sure, you’d want a coupe body and doors wouldn’t you? Perspex rear windows… With a F-Glass M3 kit.. Sounds cool. Tuff as f**k spec
  3. I’ll be the debt devil and say go for something like the Black one, that’s so nice.. if you keep it for as long as the WRX it would be worth it in the long run. Hard thing with the Japanese cars is normally a lack of service history and no space for a German Plate. All the Electronic gizmo’s can be modified to NZ specks, there are members on here that can help you! Good luck.

    E30 Mtech Coupe

Looks good, a bit of paint on here and there and she will be stunning, love red E30’s, not enough of them around. Weekend job #1, de-Chrome the window surrounds! Instant improvement for $20. I had a can of Blue non metalic paint mixed for my car the other day for touch ups and it was onlt $45! Would be epic with a 24valve.
  5. 16k can buy a lot of 2005+ cars Bravo. I suppose if you have your heart set on a 540i and the luxury of time and have the cash, just keep an eye and an ear out and something will pop up, contact as many dealers as possible and let them know you are interested, give them your details and make them a stupid offer, they may say NO initially but times are tough and I guaranty they will call back within a week, scan the auctions, even approach people with cars you like and let them know you are interested if they are looking at upgrading to a new car, something will pop up. I have heard of NZ new E39 M5’s changing hands wholesale for as little as 20-25k recently so nothing is impossible.
  6. True,it was the best car in the world... more than 13 years ago.. The Alcatel one touch easy and Ace of Base were pretty awesome at the time also.. things have come a long long long way.
  7. Not to rare then, would love to know the numbers. 2K sounds a bargain but to get one tidy all-round takes a lot of money, mine was tidy enough when I got it but has still chewed up nearly 10k in two years on restorfying and maintenance. Offer the guy 2k and spend 5-7K giving it a freshen up, drive it around for a couple of years and sell it for 10k easy. There are plenty of us out there that would happily pay a premium for something special.
  8. Hi Gareth and welcome to Bimmersport. If I kept a car for as long as 7 years I would be looking at something as new and low millage as possible. If you can pay the extra for a NZ new 540i M-sport Facelift, you will not regret it in the long run... I’ll also go against the grain and say go and buy a 2006-7 Subaru WRX which will be a lot more fun and will cost a lot less to maintain, unless a recent BMW is a magic M-Car, I mean M3,M5,M6 its jut an old man dressed in a tracksuit.
  9. Rare Have asked this question before, and from what I can gather not many at all, I think the concept of a $80,000 wagon with a hatch back sized payload obviously wasn’t appealing in NZ in 1988 and 1989, the share market crash wouldn’t have sweetened the deal either. Isis’s and the BMW car club 320i are the only NZ wagons I have seen and our cars were all the same factory spec, from what I can remember the Touring was offered in two models, the 320i SE and 325I SE, all options were available on order. I paid a lot for mine because it was NZ new and had the Genuine Tech-II kit, weaves and a lot of other niceties.. What they are worth and what someone will pay are two different things, in a saturated market one would be worth only slightly more than its sedan/coupe counterpart, but in the likes of Australia or America one could go for three times the price. I know what mines worth because I have had lots of serious offers on it.
  10. Hurry up already!! They look good.
  11. Why oh why do people take such bad photos for trade me auctions! If you are selling something like this you need to take some decent or at least flattering photos of the vehicle, its an online add. Cardinal rule is to never photograph the tire facing out! Looks ok though, needs the hubcaps.
  12. Mines that same, Vogtlands springs also, it’s not major but defiantly uneven. Might take your advice *mybmw* thanks
  13. That’s a goodie. They should keep the name of the road the same and change the name of the local creek to Muff! Hey cuz what did you get upto on the weekend? I went diving in muff creek bro..

    2011 M5 Spied

Haven’t heard anything about a V10 Turbo, where did you here about that? They do a V8 Turbo in two tunes and a V12 Turbo that’s in the 760i though.

    2011 M5 Spied

It’s a test mule, bar the proportions I find it hard to see how anyone can build an idea of what it will look like or comment. All we can get excited about are those brakes. BMW are going to have to do something special if the wish to regain the king of the category spot, they have been deuced in performance buy the Porsche Panorama, the Jaguar XFR and the Audi RS6. I would like to know how many M5’s they have sold this year.
  16. If all you want is sound and don’t want to pay for it, cut the front section of your stock intake rite open and make a huge feed into it from behind your headlight. I remember drilling holes all threw the bottom of a factory box I had on a Nissan Primera once, sounded like a BTC.
  17. Do you need to cert a 2.5? They are hardly powerful.
  18. Easy to say go 2.5 but if you don’t have mechanical knowhow, the facilities or the time it’s still going to run you 1,500-2k depending on how cheap you can get the 2.5 and ass parts. You will need to swap the air flow meter and intake pipe so if you’re looking for an engine make sure it comes with these, the ECU is easy to swap. If you can get a very cheap 2.3 do it, all you will need to swap the AFM and ECU easy peasy.
  19. sh*t that’s fast!! Good to see you out enjoying it Riley, also good to see it annihilate a couple of Crapanese imports.

Maybe they have been disconnected for safety reasons, you dont need them. Normally they are in the light cluster.

    E30 Touring

Cheers guys, went and got some of those silver smoked repeater bulbs to eliminate the egg look on the fronts but it didn’t work.
  23. Were you thinking of that old fella that worked in the storage complex Brent? I believe he has moved out of town, he used to commute to Papakura from Teams everyday! I use Aaron at Pro-Line, he is renowned as one of the best, if you want a perfect job goo and see him. Feel free to come and have a look at my bumpers for an idea of how good he is, I had him rebuild my rear bumper because someone had tried to fix up a tow ball hook cut out with glass, you would never know. Cost me 800 to have three pieces fixed and re painted. http://yellow.co.nz/companies/Panel-Beater...85845_1248.html
  24. yay not times 2. [snooty]Hey, yours is glass anyways!![snooty]
  25. Nice one, welcome to Bimmersport. Love your Maori aerial… Kohtanga.
