    Dumb WOF Question

I try to stick to the LTSA licensing places unless getting something done close to WOF time. Similar prob, had an isuzu for several years then one day they failed me for not having a high stop light...bistirds

    FRONT ROTORS

The Brembo rotors are harder than the stock rotors and don't warp as easy.More aesthetically though the stock rotors also leave some fairly nasty brake dust all over you nice and shiney mags so switching to the brembo stock replacements and changing the pads to some softer dust free ones fixes that problem.

Perhaps only lightening it a little may be the key???Something to consider

    Dumb WOF Question

Funny isn't it, I read into that aswell that if you have auxillary lights then they must work...aswell is be in the correct place. I saw some lights on Trademe last week that you could've snaffled up
  6. Auto or manual??? Pull up the centre console and check the wiring if you can, also, read that thread on owning an E36 in it's entireity, it'll probably have something on it as it's quite thorough.

Going from GT2 on a PSX to GT4 on the PSX2 it a big jump so don't dis it Can't decide which is my fav ride yet between the M3 GTR, RUF CTR2, AC 427...but the Nürburgring is the track to use

    FRONT ROTORS

Brembo's are all good Replacing rotors is an extremely easy job, make sure you replace the brake pads aswell when you do them. The only tricky part is, as Mike said, wedging the caliper piston(s) apart to get the caliper back on. Replacing the shocks is a little more involving, unless you've got super duper low springs you're going to need help

Oh so stoked, got the Direzza's on this morning and they're an arm and leg over the barum's, alignment problem has dissapeared, they're much quieter, and they hold the road remarkably better...I say this as I did the Wadestown chicane several times to test them, I thought once would be enough, but I couldn't believe how quiet and grippy they were so I had to try it several more times to see when they'd start to slip and squeal...never happened...stoked :bounce:

    LSD?

It definately looks like the E28-E30 shape so should fit, I was on the understanding the Z3 uses alot of the same technology as the E30's

    You had barum alignment probs too???I went from an alright straightish alignment to a very serious left hand pull when I stuck the Barum's on. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .hmmmmm, me hopes that my alignment problem is just the crappy barums
  14. Don't be silly, the momo 350mm wheels are tits, and the fact you've got manual steering is all good - not to mention it prevents retarded pussy's from taking your car for a spin.

Is that the road with the Hobbit's Hole tunnel???Don't think I want to take the barum's out on that road, i've lost all confidence in their wet weather ability, not to mention the flat spots are driving me nutz and making my hands feel like Classius Clay's I thought I could just drive out the flat spots with some excessive driving style, but no, they're the devil you know

    0-200 km/h

Maybe not a fast 0-100kph but 100-200kph is all good...I just like how the mpg gauge is as swingy as the rev counter

Porn I was thinking you should drop the ride a little lower for extra pimp affect, however, it'd be too low for when you've got your platforms on and we don't want to be looking akward in fornt of the bunnies now do we :pimp:

I get my Direzza's tomorros (Saturday) Will be having one last flogging run on the barum's to Wanganui late tonight and back very early in the morning to avoid cars and cops
  21. I concur Tim, however, lets just hit him anyway Dan, talk to Glenn, he'll have an understanding (I would hope) of what, if any, parts on the g/box need replacing...but one would imagine that on such a low kms car it'd be in good nick.

    I'm Driving a CRX...

Nana car for a nana driver aye Yup, I felt like a leisurely drive around it, it is perfect for getting the right lines for corners. It is a bit sad however that my best time around the 'Ring to date is in a Toyota Corolla - I am able to do lap after lap in it without varying from the right line and amazingly enough without going off the track. That time is 9 mins, 57 secs (I can hear the shrieks of laughter from here) I still suck at it, but I suck a little less each time.... Edit: I love that ghosting feature too, helps me improve my laptimes easily, as I can know my best braking points etc, and can try and brake later, accelerate earlier etc to carry more speed through the corners. Cheers You're onto g-money, understanding how to actually handle the car properly goes a long way, it's the same conept with track racing too. It's no use trying to race (intermarque is a good start point) in a car that's too powerful for you, hence why the E30 bimmers make good intermarque cars. Gotta learn to drive properly fist
